Our Redmi 9T video review is up

The Redmi 9T is the latest addition in the line of budget-friendly devices from Xiaomi. Now that our written review out the way we bring your attention to the video breakdown to find out if its worth considering.

Right off the bat, the 9T is nearly identical to another recent budget offering – the Poco M3. The specs are similar across the board though you get a more toned-down design with the Redmi 9T and a slightly higher asking price of €140 compared to €120 on the Poco M3. You do get an extra 8MP ultrawide cam on the 9T as well as splash-proof protection (not IP rated though). Another key addition is NFC though it's market dependent.

As for the rest of the package you get the familiar 6.53-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for the 8MP selfie cam. The panel scored decent brightness levels for its price. More importantly though the massive 6,000 mAh battery delivered a 150-hour endurance rating in our test – that’s among the highest we’ve seen to date.

The main 48MP camera delivered quite good shots in daylight with a bit warmer colors while the ultrawide and macro sensors were less impressive. The Snapdragon 662 handled test and real-world usage just fine though there is a drop off in consistency with more demanding games.

Overall the Redmi 9T is a practical and quite capable entry-level phone with excellent battery life which deserves our recommendation.

Any clue if it'll come to the UK market? I'm settled with Mi Note 10 Lite, but wish to have a budget Xiaomi with massive battery, NFC and decent camera.
