Watch the vivo X60, X60 Pro and X60 Pro+ global launch live

Yesterday, the vivo X60 series appeared on the company’s international site, though the premium X60 Pro+ model was missing. Never mind that because today is the proper international launch of the X60 series. You can watch it below, the event starts at 6:30 am UTC. Interestingly, vivo India is teasing the Snapdragon 888-powered Pro+. That is great news as it is the most interesting phone of the three by a wide margin. And not just because of the chipset, the large 1/1.3” GN1 sensor dwarfs the 1/2.0” sensors in the other two models.

Even better, there’s a good chance that the Pro+ will get to keep its periscope lens while the X60 and the X60 Pro lost theirs after leaving China. You can see the squarish opening for the periscope in this teaser tweet by vivo India.

Does that mean that the rest of the world will also be able to get in on the periscope action? You’ll have to watch the event to find out – or come back in a bit, we’ll have a full report on the availability and pricing of the X60 series.

I would like to try a vivo x60-series, but the x50 series was so expensive initially, and continues to be over a year later. Will they bring competitive prices globally this time around? $1300 for a mid-range phone is almost double of most other mid ...
