Top 10 trending phones of week 16

Chip, 26 April 2021

In the absence of major phone launches Xiaomi strengthen its grasp on our trending chart, the Chinese company making the five most popular phone in our database this week.

The Mi 11 Ultra takes its customary first position ahead of Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Poco X3 Pro.

Just off the podium we see the vanilla Redmi Note 10 and another Poco-branded phone - the F3.

The new iPad Pro 12.9 took sixth, which is a major achievement for a tablet, particularly one that costs north of $1,000 and is bound to only be interesting to a handful of people.

A trio of Samsung phones follows with the Galaxy A72 leading from the A52 5G and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. If early form is any indication the higher positioned A72 may take over from the A 5-series as the most popular Samsung phone after two years of domination of the latter.

Sony Xperia 1 III rounds up the top 10 as we wave goodbye to its 5 III sibling and the Galaxy Quantum 2. See you next week - a few interesting launched are lined up and we might see big moves around the chart.

Xiaomi is killing it lately. The disappearance of Huawei really helped them. If the Mi 11 Ultra was released 2-3 years ago, no one would look at it twice.
