Realme TechLife, the division for smart gadgets, will soon introduce a new brand. The company and its CEO Madhav Sheth tease that the it starts with the letter D, however, it’s not quite clear if this will be an own brand or if it's another company that has joined the TechLife platform. It sounds like the former.

Either way, the new brand will have its own product line. The full announcement is scheduled for May 25 (Tuesday next week), but we will probably see a few more teasers until then.

Realme plans to launch over 100 new AIoT product this year. “AIOT is another springboard of massive growth and we have set our sights to become the No. 1 Audio / Wearable / Smart TV brand with 15MN AIOT users in India and build Realme TechLife eco platform with Realme’s own product and partner brand,” Sheth told us in an interview.

"We will be supporting our partners who have joined the 'Realme TechLife' platform with our product, R&D, supply and quality assurance. We leave options to onboard brands to choose their original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners freely," he said in another interview.

Pathetic brand. Should take a cue from One Plus and work on existing phones and providing timely updates. Else it's like a kid counting number in nursery school.

I regret buying their Realme X2 pro now. Still no Android 11 update for it. The camera app keeps getting stuck often even after 2 seconds of opening it. Battery backup has gone way too low probably because of their fast charging or their Realme UI. T...
