iQOO Neo5 Lite announced with Snapdragon 870 SoC and 144Hz screen

vivo introduced the iQOO Neo5 in March, and today the company followed up with its more affordable version, dubbed iQOO Neo5 Lite.

Like the Neo5, the Lite variant also comes with a Snapdragon 870 SoC, Android 11-based OriginOS, and a 16MP selfie camera. But that's where the similarities end, since the iQOO Neo5 Lite packs a 6.57" FullHD+ 144Hz LCD instead of a tad larger AMOLED panel on the regular Neo5 with a 120Hz refresh rate, meaning you get a side-mounted fingerprint reader instead of an in-display solution.

Another difference between the two smartphones is in the battery department. The Neo5 shipped with a 4,400 mAh battery with 66W charging, while the Lite model packs a larger 4,500 mAh cell but maxes out at 44W. That's still plenty fast, though, since vivo claims the bundled 44W adapter can juice up the battery from flat to 70% in 30 minutes.

The iQOO Neo5 Lite's back cover houses a triple camera setup like the vanilla Neo5, but the combination is different. The Neo5 Lite retains the 48MP primary camera while replacing the 13MP ultrawide and 2MP depth units with 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro modules, respectively.

The rest of the iQOO Neo5 Lite's features include stereo speakers, Multi-Turbo 5.0, an 11-layer liquid-cooled heat dissipation system, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, NFC, and 5G support. The smartphone can also use up to 3GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage as additional RAM for a smoother performance.

The iQOO Neo5 Lite comes in two colors and three memory configurations - 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB priced at CNY2,299 ($355/€290), CNY2,499 ($390/€320), and CNY2,699 ($420/€345), respectively. It will be available in China through vivo's official website, but availability in other markets remains unknown.

Well you are the one who made an illogical comment. Not everyone, including myself, likes to keep files inside the internal storage no matter how fast the UFS storage is. Also, you don't use a microSD card to run Android.

Yeah, we might never know what he meant, but its probably not for chinese market people, i dont think they even visit gsmarena or other english sites. Edge s seems like the much better deal then.

Fair enough. Take your point. This one is a little bit expensive anyway with something like the Motorola edge s now available for only 1,799rmb with similar specs
