Our Black Shark 4 video review is now out

Vlad, 27 May 2021

Xiaomi sub-brand Black Shark is playing the affordability game this year with its latest gaming focused smartphone, the Black Shark 4. Unlike the Pro model, this one's getting a global release, and its price significantly undercuts its direct competitors. But just how good can it be, all things considered?

Well, we wanted to find out, of course, so we went ahead and wrote an in-depth review of it. And now, for those who are short on time, we're releasing the video review as well. As usual, this is much more concise, while still containing all of the essential bits and pieces of info you need to know about the phone.

The Black Shark 4 definitely has a lot of Hz, par for the course in gaming-land, as well as a very bright (if not record-breakingly so) Super AMOLED screen, but interestingly it uses last year's flagship chipset (repackaged as Snapdragon 870), and not the absolute 2021 top of the line offering. It's also got physical pop-up gaming triggers, and incredible 120W charging support (0 to 100 in 17 minutes!), but the battery size itself isn't very impressive at just 4,500 mAh. So it looks like a mixed bag, but do check out our video above to see what we make of all this.
