Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 passes through 3C again, will support 25W charging after all

Enrique, 30 July 2021

Last week, it was reported by Ice Universe on Twitter that Samsung’s upcoming clamshell foldable phone the Galaxy Z Flip3 was going to arrive with the same 15W charging capacity as the original Galaxy Z Flip. A recent 3C certification entry for the Z Flip3 now refutes this.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 passed through 3C, will support 25W charging after all

The 3C certification shows that the Z Flip3 with model number SM-F7110 is associated with the EP-TA200 and EP-TA800 chargers. It’s unclear which one the phone will actually come with, but this does confirm that the Z Flip3 will be compatible with the faster charger of the two. While the EP-TA200 is the Adaptive 15W charger, the EP-TA800 is a 25W charger that will also be pre-packed with the Galaxy Z Fold3.

This entry into the 3C is different than the one we saw back in May. Though it was the same model number SM-F7110, there wasn’t any mention of the EP-TA800 charger we now see in the recent 3C certification.

So what if it’s just 25W? 25W is adequate for me. This phone will be nice after all, unlike the A and FE series from Samsung.

There is literally no Z Flip2 because Samsung has launched the Z Flip 5G with Snapdragon 865+ chipset.
