OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8T get Buds Pro support, August security patch with latest update

What a coincidence – the OnePlus Buds Pro are now available in Europe and the company started rolling out the 11.0.8.8 update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, which adds support for the TWS headset. There are other improvements as well, including optimizing the Portrait mode for the front-facing camera.

If you have a OnePlus 8T, a very similar update – 11.0.9.9 in India and 11.0.10.10 in the rest of the world – brings the same changes to the T-phone as well.

The Always On Display now has a screenshot feature and a Bitmoji AOD option, which was co-developed with Snapchat. Bitmoji are digital avatars that can be used by various apps, e.g. the Gboard keyboard.

Anyway, this update also improves the system stability and bumps the security patch up to August 2021. It also installs the OnePlus Store app, which helps you manage your 1+ account, get support and (of course) shop for OnePlus products. This can be uninstalled if you don’t care for it.
