To complement the already unveiled Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro, Edge 20 Lite, and Edge 20 Fusion, Motorola has a new Edge smartphone to show us. This is simply (and very confusingly) called Motorola Edge (yes, exactly like the original Edge from last year), and is meant for the North American market.

The Motorola Edge (2021) will go on sale in the US on September 2 for $500. It comes with a 6.7" 1080x2460 144 Hz LCD display with 576Hz touch latency, the Snapdragon 778G chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a water repellant coating (with IP52 rating), a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

It will be offered in Nebula Blue, runs Android 11, measures 169 x 75.6 x 8.99 mm, and weighs 200g. On the rear there's a 108 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front there's a 32 MP camera for selfies.

The new Edge's normal retail price is set at $700, but you can get it at the aforementioned discounted rate of $500 for a limited time after launch. The phone will be available at Best Buy, B&H, Amazon, and Motorola.com initially, with Verizon set to offer it in the coming months. The device will land in Canada later this year.

I'd rather buy a Poco F3 or something else than buy that overpriced Motorola Turd.

And pay twice for half the specs? I'd rather keep the moto, I don't even update anyway and my phones live for years happily.
