Realme 8s 5G in for review

Yordan, 26 September 2021

The Realme 8s 5G is the latest phone to come to us, just days after we got its sibling Realme 8i. It comes in Universe Blue color and is the first commercially available phone with Mediatek’s Dimensity 810 chipset.

As we begin work on its review we decided to share some early impressions with you.

The Realme 8s 5G comes with a 6.5” LCD of 1080p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

It might look like the phone has a quad-cam setup on the back, but in reality, there are only three shooters - the fourth circle is there for aesthetics and comes with a sticker saying AI. It’s not even the flash, which is pill-shaped and placed underneath.

Our unit comes with 8GB RAM and 128 gigs of storage, and Realme has enabled the trendy dynamic RAM extension to virtually expand its capacity to 13GB.

It is a light handset with a neat matte finish on the back - nothing like its glossy fingerprint magnet sibling, the Realme 8i. The flat sides provide enough grip, and the fingerprint scanner in the pronounced power key is a nice touch (pun intended).

The Realme 8s 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and it has the required charger and a cable in the box.

With prices for the Realme 8s starting at $250 the phone is looking like a great deal, but we'll only know for sure once our review is complete. Stay tuned!

Would have to use a Xiaomi though. Not using AD-OS is worth the 80/90 dollars of extra cost.

Why you do waste your time commenting this you do know that most people buy entry level to mid range phones right not everyone has the money for a 1000 dollar+ flagship and budget and mid-range phones are there to fill in the gap
