Remember the Nokia Purebook X14 that was unveiled in India in December of last year? Now there’s a new model on the way dubbed the Purebook S14. It’s not quite as light as the X14, though it does come with a newer processor and Windows 11 out of the box.

The Nokia Purebook S14 is powered by an 11th generation Intel Core i5 with Iris Xe graphics, up from a 10th gen Core i5. It can be configured with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD.

The laptop has a 14” IPS LCD with 1080p resolution. The bezels are pleasingly thin, though the laptop itself weighs more than the X14 – 1.4 kg vs. 1.1 kg. For connectivity there is a USB-C port, a USB-A 3.0 port and an HDMI port. There is also a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot.

The Nokia Purebook S14 will be available on Flipkart starting on October 3 at a price of INR 57,000. For comparison, the older Purebook X14 is currently discounted to INR 55,000 on Flipkart. This will be the first laptop to come with Windows 11 out of the box in India, by the way.

Additionally, there is a new series of Nokia Smart TVs. They are split into two groups: one with QLED displays in 50” and 55” sizes and another with regular LCDs in 43”, 50” and 55”. All these are 4K displays, but there will also be a more affordable 43” 1080p option.

These TVs run Android 11 running on a quad-core processor (1.1 GHz), Mali-G31 GPU (700 MHz), 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage. They have a data-saving feature too.

All TVs support Dolby Vision and HDR10, however, the QLED models offer better color rendering with 102% NTSC coverage. Also, all models have built-in JBL speakers tuned by Harman AudioEFX, but the top of the line models feature twin 60W speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Do not buy it when you have a Brother printer. Windows 11 does not allow a lot of brother printers to work well or work at all. Warned ya. No solution yet.

I would love to see a Foxconn logo there. They are the big thing running in the backdrop.

As an Indian there are many many tech products that are available in the US and not available in India. Same with products available in China and Japan.
