Huawei smart glasses with HarmonyOS and MateBook X Pro 2022 unveiled

Alongside the P50 Pocket foldable phone, Huawei announced a new pair of smart glasses running HarmonyOS as well as a premium 14.2-inch MateBook X Pro Windows laptop.

The latest version of smart glasses from Huawei comes in three styles with Boston-style, Wellington and Aviator frames and prescription lenses or sunshades. They come with powerful 128mm speakers and microphones which allow hands-free access to Huawei’s Celia assistant. The glasses run HarmonyOS and are meant for busy users who are always on the go helping you take calls, listen to music or make notes without using a smartphone.

The new smart glasses also bring health tracking for your eyes and posture and are IPX4 splash-proof. Battery life is rated at 16 hours of mixed usage with 4.5 hours of talk time and up to 6 hours of music listening.

Pricing starts at CNY 1,699 ($266) for the model with prescription lenses while the sunglasses version will go for CNY 1,899 ($299). Both are available to order in China from today.

Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022

MateBook X Pro 2022 is the latest flagship ultraportable laptop in Huawei’s lineup. It comes with Intel’s 11-gen Rocket Lake chipsets, a 14.2-inch 90Hz touchscreen with 3120 x 2080 px resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 60Wh battery. The notebook weighs just 1.38kg and is 15.5mm at its thickest point.

The screen can crank out 500nits of brightness and covers the entire P3 color gamut. I/O includes four USB-C ports (two USB 3.2) and a headphone jack. There’s a 90W GaN USB-C charger. The laptop brings Intel Iris Xe integrated GPU, 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB M2 SSD. It comes pre-installed with Windows 10 out the box.

The Core i5 model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage starts at CNY 9,499 ($1,490) while the top-end Core i7 version with 1TB storage will sell for CNY 12,499 ($1,961).

Laptop looks sweet but hella pricey. The "top" i7 model should of been 1490 and i5 ~1200. Would be in line with other overpriced Intel garbage. The glasses on the other hand sound quite good on paper compared to what other brands came ...

Lol, try look those posts again, its different releases, normal mobile, flip phone, glasses, watch and a laptop, that's it i mean. And this is really nothing compared to all other brands (because of the ban).
