Nvidia Shield TV gets Android 11
Starting today, Nvidia is updating its whole Shield TV lineup to Android 11 and that includes even the model from 2015, which launched on Android Lollipop. That's impressive software support, to say the least.
The update brings a bunch of new features native to Android 11 and a heavy focus on privacy protection. Users will also enjoy a much-improved typing experience with the new Gboard as well as the newly added support for aptX-compliant headphones.

it's likely because phones have a lot more components, like displays, haptics, cameras, batteries, touch, etc, meaning they have a LOT more drivers that need to be updated & supported when compared to a stationary TV box

Would be great if the update actually works. Previous big update broke my shield controller (fixed it months later). This update broke about everything else.
