With the new iPhone SE, new iPad Air, new M1 Ultra chip, Mac Studio, and Studio Display, Apple's event today was mostly about hardware. But the company also announced something that will go down very well with fans of baseball who subscribe to Apple TV+, its streaming service.

Apple is going to offer Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV+, through a new partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB). Fans will be able to tune in to two games on Friday nights during the regular season.

You also get live pre-game and post-game shows, and all of this will be available to baseball fans exclusively on Apple TV+ as soon as the regular season begins. You just need to be in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, or the United Kingdom.

If you're in the US, you'll also be able to enjoy MLB Big Inning, a live show with highlights and look-ins airing every weeknight during the regular season. Fans in the US and Canada will have access to a new 24/7 live stream with game replays, news and analysis, highlights, classic games, and a "full complement of on-demand programming, including highlights and MLB-themed original content".

The new deal lets fans watch marquee games on Friday nights without any local broadcast restrictions, across all devices that support Apple TV+, and at tv.apple.com. For a limited time, Friday Night Baseball will be available on Apple TV+ without the need for a subscription.

Enhanced league and team coverage will also be provided by Apple and MLB inside the Apple News app, with included highlights and the ability to watch those on the spot.
