Poco C40 goes official with JLQ Technology chipset

Poco C40 is expected to launch on June 16 which is still a week away at this point but the brand’s Vietnam branch went ahead and announced the budget phone earlier today. It brings a 6.71-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution alongside a 13MP main camera and a 6,000 mAh battery with 18W charging.

The more interesting bit here is the chipset choice. Instead of going with a Qualcomm, MediaTek or Unisoc chip, Poco went with the JR510 chipset from JLQ Technology - a Shanghai-based semiconductor manufacturer.

The SoC is fabbed on the 11nm process and features an eight-core structure with four cores working at 2.0GHz and four more at 1.5GHz. It is said to offer performance in the same territory as the Snapdragon 450 and Helio G35.

Poco C40 comes in black, yellow and green colors and a single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage trim. Pricing in Vietnam is set at VND 3,490,000 which amounts to $150 while open sales are scheduled for June 17.

It means " high number of megapixel does not necessarily means better image will be produced." Pixel counts will determine the size or resolution of the picture but quality of image captured will be based on several factors, the biggest fac...

Chip shortage is still ongoing, and higher megapixels in camera hardware doesn't automatically tanslate to better photos.
