Samsung is apparently going to launch a 1TB Galaxy Z Fold4

Vlad, 08 June 2022

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 has been leaking a lot lately, and today we get yet another tidbit of information about it. According to the latest rumor, the foldable smartphone will have a version with a whopping 1TB of storage.

That's double what the maximum storage is in the Galaxy Z Fold3, and would probably nicely cover even those who like to hoard digital content on their devices. It's unclear what pricing Samsung will settle on for the Fold4, but for reference the 512GB model of the Fold3 launched at $1,899. If the 512GB Fold4 remains the same price at launch, then expect the 1TB model to fetch at least $1,999, if not $2,049 or even $2,099.

The storage amount is important because the Fold3 doesn't have a microSD card slot, and its successor is very likely to join it in that club. So what you get when you buy the phone is the most you'll ever have, which means more flexibility in offering more options is a good move on Samsung's part. Obviously as this is just a rumor at this point, don't take it too seriously.

We've previously heard that the Fold4 would be lighter than the Fold3, and it would be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Keeping the lights on is allegedly a 4,400 mAh battery.
