Honor 70 arriving in Malaysia tomorrow

Earlier this year Honor launched its Honor 70 in China and now the phone is going global at a new event in Malaysia. The keynote is scheduled for tomorrow, August 18 at 8PM local time (12PM UTC) and Honor will also bring its MagicBook 14 laptop and Honor Pad 8 tablet.

Honor 70 brings a 6.67-inch OLED with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G+ chipset and brings a 4,800 mAh battery with 66W charging support. It boasts a 54MP Sony IMX 800 main cam alongside a 50MP ultrawide module and a 2MP depth sensor.

Honor MagicBook 14 is a sleek Windows 11 laptop with Ryzen 6000 CPUs, a 14-inch QHD+ display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 70Wh battery. The third expected device at the launch event is Honor Pad 8 – an Android tablet with a 12-inch IPS LCD and Snapdragon 680 chipset. I dont think chinese brands have software support as priority. Most would rather release a new handset than provide longer software support (OS updates).

Does it have unlockale bootloader and cost less than similarly priced Xiaomi? If not I don't see reason to buy this brand which thinks Google ban never happened and din't ruin their credibility.

Honor 50 still not getting Android 12 despite Honor announcing the phone will get it in Q2 2022. Now is Q3 2022 already and Honor is quiet when asked. Honor is a joke brand that sell their phones at premium prices but give third rate software support...
