Sony raises PlayStation 5 prices almost everywhere
Sony just announced new, higher prices for the PlayStation 5 for Europe, the UK, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Canada. The price hike affects both versions of the console - the Digital Edition, and the PS5 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray disk drive.
Sony cites the challenging global economic environment, high inflation, and currency challenges as reasons for the price increase. The company says its top priority is to improve the PS5 supply situation, which has made the most popular gaming console hard for eager buyers to find.

It's unlikely that sales will be impacted negatively by the increase in prices. Sony has enjoyed great success with the PlayStation 5, outselling Microsoft's Xbox. According to Ampere Analysis, Sony has shipped 21 million PS5s as of June 2022, while Microsoft has only shipped 13.8 million.

No official warranty in Indonesia for XBOX while PS give 1 Year + 3 Mo, thats my deal breaker. Luckily I got mine about 3 Mo ago with official price from JD. XBOX price may eventually increased somehow followiing the trend, I presume.

if one console sold 20 million while not being on shelves majority of the time and other one sold 14 million while being available everywhere is less than comparable. if only Sony could produce PS5 more, they would have sold much more. I am not aga...

You got it bro. There's no incentive for Sony or oil companies to SPEND millions increasing supply output when they can make abnormal profit by restricting supply. Thus saving money at the same time.
