Vlad, 16 September 2022

Remember that vivo X Fold S that was supposed to launch imminently a few weeks ago? Well, it turns out it might be called something else when it finally hits the market, namely vivo X Fold+ 5G. The device was just certified for sale in China by TENAA, and this process has revealed that it has a 4,600 mAh battery capacity (made up of two 2,300 mAh parts).

As the name implies, the device also has 5G support naturally, we're talking bands N1, N28, N41, N78, and N79. It runs Android 12.

According to past leaks and rumors, the vivo X Fold+ 5G will have the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset powering it, as well as support for 80W fast charging (up from 8 Gen 1 and 66W, respectively, on the original X Fold).

A slightly beefier 4,700 mAh battery was also rumored, but the TENAA certification reveals that didn't pan out and the X Fold+ has to make do with the same capacity as its predecessor.

Now that it's been certified for sale, the official announcement can't lag far behind. Stay tuned and we'll let you know when the vivo X Fold+ 5G is unveiled, but don't get your hopes up internationally - it's extremely likely this one will only be sold in China, just like the original.

Ever heard of Oneplus?

The best fold I see, sadly they can't afford to go international. Wish it would make some EU brand pop out lol. All EU brands went like popcorn...
