vivo shows off images of X Fold+ in red

Peter, 21 September 2022

vivo officially confirmed that the revamped X Fold+ will be unveiled on September 26 (Monday) and the poster for the event confirmed the addition of red colorway. Like the current black and blue options, this one has a faux leather cover.

Want to have a closer look at the red colorway? You’re in luck, vivo is quite keen to show it off – and why shouldn’t it, it looks amazing. It’s called “Huaxia Red”, by the way. vivo describes it as such: “In our eyes, it is the spiritual background of Chinese civilization and the symbol of progress and development.”

The vivo X Fold+ is expected to bring the improved Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage), plus a slightly larger 4,730mAh battery (up from 4,600mAh on the original). It will also give wired charging a boost up to 80W (up from 66W, wired charging remains at 50W), at least that is what rumors claim.

The rest should be identical to the original vivo X Fold. Whether that includes the price we will find out next week (the original launched CNY 9,000, which converted to €1,300/$1,415). Another thing to watch out for is availability – the original X Fold is still exclusive to China.

I feel kinda the same way about iOS and stock android. They both work perfectly the way they come out of the box and it just got really boring for me.

You are obviously a much more advanced user and have tried many more operating systems than I have. I use Android Pixel on a Pixel 4a 4G and it's really cool, but I'm just a newbie and didn't know about the smoothness and customization...

They try to yes, but I think that's more true for MIUI, EMUI and vivo's older FunTouch OS, but not really Origin OS.
