Realme GT3 240W design revealed ahead of MWC debut, points to rebadged GT Neo 5

Sagar, 16 February 2023

Realme announced it will unveil the Realme GT3 with 240W charging on February 28 yesterday without divulging anything else about the smartphone. The Realme GT3 240W was confirmed to match the GT Neo5 240W charring speed, currently exclusive to China. Now Realme has shared a teaser of the design suggesting the similarities between the two won't end there.

Realme posted an image of the GT3 240W on Twitter, which looks like the black color model of the GT Neo5. It has three cameras on the rear with an RGB LED rectangle. There's also a text that confirms the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

Realme GT3 240W's design revealed ahead of MWC debut, likely a rebranded GT Neo5

If the Realme GT3 240W is a rebranded GT Neo5, it will be the first time a GT Neo series smartphone got rebadged as a vanilla flagship. And that means the GT3 240W will come with a 6.74" 144Hz AMOLED screen, Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0, and up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The smartphone will feature a 16MP selfie camera, and the triple camera setup on the back will comprise 50MP primary (with OIS), 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP microscope units.

There's also a 150W model of the GT Neo5, which packs a 5,000 mAh battery. However, it's unclear if it will be introduced as the GT3 150W outside China.

I wish to see those 2 mp and 5 mp cameras just disappear someday soon. Giving these 2 and 5 mp units just to give a triple camera name to the phone.

I wish there will be a real GT3 / GT3 Pro. A real flagship and not just a rebranding GT Neo 5 for global market.

I couldn't agree more!
