vivo Y11 (2023) unveiled with Helio P35 SoC and 5,000 mAh battery

Sagar, 01 April 2023

vivo launched the Y11 with a 4" LCD, 5MP primary camera, and a 1,700 mAh battery in 2014 and followed up with a new model in October 2019, having a modern design and better specs. Over three years later, vivo has unveiled the Y11's 2023 version, expectedly with a different design and hardware.

The vivo Y11 (2023)'s front looks similar to the 2019 model since the Chinese phone maker is still stuck with the dated waterdrop notch, which now houses a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera instead of an 8MP f/1.8 unit the Y11 (2019) had. However, the screen diagonal has increased from 6.35" to 6.51", but it's still a 60Hz LCD with HD+ resolution.

That said, unlike the 2019 model, the Y11's 2023 version comes with flat frames and a flat rear panel, which sports a rectangular camera island with a big circle housing the 8MP primary camera and LED flash. The Y11 2019 featured a dual camera setup on the back comprising 13MP main and 2MP depth units. It was also joined by a fingerprint reader, which we don't have on the 2023 model. And that's not because it's embedded in the power button, but because vivo skipped it entirely.

The vivo Y11 (2019) came with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 439 SoC under the hood, while the Y11 (2023) has MediaTek's Helio P35 chip at the helm with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 12-based OriginOS Ocean out of the box and packs a 5,000 mAh battery that draws power through a microUSB port at up to 10W like the Y11 (2019).

The vivo Y11 (2023) comes in blue and black colors and has two memory options - 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB, priced at CNY899 ($130/€120/INR10,755) and CNY999 ($145/€135/INR11,950), respectively. It's listed on vivo's official Chinese website, but there's no word on its sale date in China and availability in other countries.

Ordered tons and tons lol.

Hope they're not including their dump adaptor with a USB A port. Make available Combined/Fused USB C/A adaptor, customers who need one will order and pay seperately! Time to get smart n sensible Vivo.
