Realme has announced the Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 early access program for the Realme GT2 Pro in India and Russia.

The company has started accepting applications for the same, and those interested can enroll in the program by enabling the Developer Mode on their GT2 Pro and navigating to its Settings > About device menu, clicking on the "realme UI 4.0" banner at the top, then click on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and then on Beta program > Early Access > Apply Now. Submit the required details to complete the application, and you'll receive the update if it's accepted.

But before you apply, make sure your Realme GT2 Pro is running software with firmware version RMX3301_13.1.0.503 (EX01) and has at least 60% battery and 15GB of storage before installing the update.

The Realme UI 5.0 brings updated design, performance optimization, and enhanced security and privacy to the GT2 Pro. You can check the Realme UI 5.0 update's changelog below for more details.

  • Enhanced Security and Privacy
    • Improved management of photo and video-related permissions for safer app access.
  • Performance Optimization
    • Enhanced system stability, faster app launches, and smoother animations.
  • System Improvements
    • Expanded list of supported apps for APP Cloner.
    • Media Output settings in Control Center for long-term use.
  • Updated Design
    • Refreshing, gentle, and clearer color style for a more comfortable visual experience.
    • Added new ringtones and revamped system notification sounds.
    • Enhanced system animations for even smoother transitions.

It's also worth mentioning that since this is beta software, it's best avoided on a primary device because beta builds often contain bugs that hamper user experience. Realme has even listed some known issues with the Realme UI 5.0, which you can check below.

  • Known Issues
    • When using floating windows, sliding the desktop may not work. You can fix this by pulling down the status bar.
    • Glance Lock-screen is not available in realme UI 5.0 Early Access; it will be introduced in future updates.

If you still want to proceed, make sure you backup your data first. Also, Realme has limited slots for the early access program, so you might want to hurry if you can't wait to get a taste of Android 14. You can head to the source link below for more details.
