Realme 12+ goes official with Dimensity 7050 and 120Hz AMOLED

There’s a new member in the Realme 12 series with the freshly announced Realme 12+ which made its debut in Indonesia and Malaysia. The latest addition in the 12 series brings a Dimensity 7050 chipset, 67W charging and a 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor and OIS.

As expected, Realme 12+ features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the 16MP selfie camera. You also get a built-in fingerprint scanner which doubles as a heart rate tracker. The back features the same vegan leather design as the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ with a large circular camera island housing three shooters.

There’s a main 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and 26mm equivalent focal range. The sensor offers 2x in-sensor zoom with a dedicated portrait mode and features OIS. Realme also added a 16mm equivalent 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro cam.

There’s a Dimensity 7050 chipset under the hood, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The software side is covered by Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 while the battery comes in at 5,000 mAh and supports 67W charging.

Realme 12+ comes in Navigator Beige and Pioneer Green colors. Pricing is set at IDR 4,199,000 ($267) in Indonesia and MYR 1,499 ($315) in Malaysia. Open sales start on March 8.

Too many cameras, maximum 2 cameras for one phone please....

Flat frames (iPhone clones) look nice, but they're not nice to hold. My Redmi Note 13 Pro isn't as nice to hold as my Pixel 6a. It feels the same as the S24. How a phone feels is as important as how it looks.

Realme 12 plus is overpriced. Waiting for iqoo z9. Better performance and camera
