vivo T3 is in the works, might be an iQOO Z9 by another name

Vlad, 05 March 2024

vivo's T series got its latest member last September, in the form of the T2 Pro, but that wasn't going to be the final one. It turns out that vivo is currently working on the T3, due to become official by the end of this month, according to a new rumor from a usually reliable source.

The vivo T3 is expected to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7200 SoC. It will have a "bright" 120 Hz AMOLED screen, Android 14 on board, and the Sony IMX882 sensor for the primary camera.

Now you'd be forgiven for thinking you've heard those specs somewhere before, and indeed you have. They are also rumored for the upcoming iQOO Z9, which is set to be unveiled on March 12. Of course this isn't an extensive list of specs, so a lot of things could be different between these two phones, but it definitely wouldn't surprise us to see a straight-up rebrand in this case - it wouldn't be the first time a Chinese company played with its brands and sub-brands like this.

The Dimensity 7200, in a supposedly customized "Pro" form also features in the Nothing Phone (2a), which has just been announced earlier today - stand by for our in-depth review. It thus looks like the Phone (2a) will be one of the vivo T3's and the iQOO Z9's main competitors.

What? I wouldn't even complain about that. It's better than none.

Then there's this guy complaining about an ultrawide camera... The field of view for the main cam is already very decent. If you wanna put UW you'll also gonna complain about the crappy quality anyways.

We need an ultrawide camera too.
