Next iPhone SE's price leaks

Vlad, 30 December 2024

Next year Apple will finally refresh the iPhone SE, and we've been hearing a lot about it lately - including the fact that it will debut Apple's self-developed modem.

Now a rumor from Korea claims the new iPhone SE will start at $499, which is $300 less than the 'vanilla' iPhone 16 and will once again make the SE model a very compelling offering for those who are looking to get a more affordable iPhone.

The previous iPhone SE, launched in 2022, started at $429, so this is essentially going to be a $70 price hike, but considering all of the upgrades that the new model is rumored to pack, it's not looking too bad.

The new SE is said to come with the A18 chipset, 8GB of RAM in order to support Apple Intelligence, a 6.06-inch 60 Hz OLED screen, a 48 MP main camera, a 12 MP selfie snapper, and an updated design reminiscent of the iPhone 14, including the notch with Face ID sensors.

The 2025 iPhone SE thus seems to borrow the chipset, RAM amount, and main camera from the iPhone 16, and when you factor in the price difference, the more bezel-heavy design and lack of ultrawide camera might not sting a lot - if at all.

I don't entirely disagree, and I did consider that when I first commented.

Funny how mt404 who is known to give 🤣 and ❌ emojis to anyone who says a phone is good, is instead willing to upvote people saying iPhones are the best. I guess he must be a diehard Apple fan.

Means nothing, the 13 Pro is still good for at least 4 years, after that anyone would surely switch phones.
