Welcome to your Week 5 recap. We released the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ battery life tests - the smaller phone managed an impressive result - better than its predecessor - while the Plus didn't perform as well as its predecessor. The likely expanation for this is the higher resolution QHD+ display. We also have a review of Samsung's One UI 6 and 6.1 up.

Samsung's latest One UI 6.1 is chuck full of new exciting new AI features.


The Xiaomi 14 Ultra popped up on Geekbench. Unsurprisingly, the upcoming flagship packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 16GB of RAM and runs Android 14.

HMD announced that it will drop the Nokia branding from its devices - from now all tablets, earbuds, and smartphones will carry the HMD brand. Rumor has it we could see the first HMD-only phones at the MWC in Barcelona, from February 26 to the 29.

The Motorola G24 Power is official with a Helio G85 chip and a 6,000mAh battery. Upfront, it has a 6.56-inch 90Hz HD+ LCD. The 4/128GB model starts at INR8,999 ($110/€100) and is going on sale on February 7.

The Realme 12 Pro duo was also announced. Both phones bring a zoom camera, but the Pro+ is the more impressive with the popular 64MP half-inch (1/2.0-inch) OV64B sensor behind a 3x 71mm zoom camera. The Realme 12 Pro+ costs INR29,999 ($360/€330 for the 8/128 GB version and is already on sale.

Finally, Nothing confirmed the Phone (2a) is coming soon. Phone (2a) will bring a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 7200 chipset paired with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. Phone 2a is expected to bring a pair of 50MP cameras on the back and is rumored to launch with a price tag in the $400/€400 range.

Hmd does not neglect Nokia branded phones, they will release along with hmd branded phones....They said in their website

True, saying no to android was the first step. Ms just made the knife go deeper and the deal was hmd was the kill strike.
