The 2019 mode... moreIt's not impossible they maybe went for an alternative chipset having similar but a bit different features many feature phones already had. The Nokia 110 specifications page seems to already confirm the chipset changed so it may be probably the same for the other similar phones. These feature phones, at any new release, try to mantain same/similar features while getting even cheaper and to get that some changes may be done. For example the keypad or plastic or display quality may be or not, exactly the same.

If so, is it possible to run... moreNo. It should run the S30+ "operating system" and considering it should not have any online data internet connectivity why expecting more; it's the lowest-end market sector for people who needs only 2G calls, sms, FM radio and some games. It's still not clear if they changed the hardware inside that may be similar to the new Nokia 110 (without its camera/music player obviously).

The 2019 model has a way worse MIDI sound chip making the ringtones sound very awful and the keypad tone is in fact derived from fake / knock-off Nokia 3310's, unlike the 2017 model which is original. Also, the 2017 model comes with Doodle Jump and Crossy Road games, which the 2019 model doesn't and instead has way worse games than the 2017 model and has a very bad version of Tetris. Not to mention the sound of the games are god awful.

I miss the nokia 1280, the best simplicity, i wonder why nokia bothered placing a camera for 3310, it spoiled the appearance and functionality, the next time nokia makes 3310 it should be like the original, the only addition should be flashlight and radio jack, monochrome, because colored phones like that make it slower, i love monochromatic, very fast responsive, best emergency phone, sturdy

What they should do is very simple
No camera(lol obviously),3.5 jack(for music-radio),Sd card slot,Fm(because,why not),3g just to be future proof,
the battery it's ok as it is,i guess and the internal space of 4mb(even it is 2019.......)And at least 240x320 screen,so you can read at least the song titles-names,clearly.....Or black-white,green-grey,non colour screen....Just saying...

So who is this phone for ?
I would understand if Nokia made full flagship slider smartphone with a 6.5 screen and a full physical keypad when a phone opens, that would really sell well.

It seems as if it's a slight downgrade compared to the 2017 model, which I own. The screen is slightly smaller (1.77 vs 1.8 inches), it has micro usb 1.1 versus 2.0 on the 2017 model, and it has the new snake game from the 3310 which is worse than the old snake. Hopefully it'll be just as good if not better than the outgoing model. I'll be sure to post my opinion as soon as I'll buy one.

Qwericus, 27 Jul 2019Uhhhhh....an updated Snake? :)Nah I'm on about those trial games, particularly those by Gameloft. Examples are Ninja Up, Sky Gift, Air Strike, Danger Dash and Nitro Racing from the Nokia 106 (2018).
