Nokia 105 (2023) and Nokia 106 4G debut in India

HMD launched a pair of new feature phones in India today with the Nokia 105 (2023) and Nokia 106 4G. They bring support for India’s Unified Payment Interface (UPI) system for instant payments with 123PAY without internet access.

Nokia 105 (2023)

The design is quite similar too. Nokia 105 (2023) is almost identical to 2021’s Nokia 105 4G but lacks LTE connectivity. It brings a 1.8-inch TFT LCD with 120 x 160 px resolution and a polycarbonate build with an IP52 water resistance. Nokia 106 4G has a 1.8-inch IPS LCD.

There are no cameras on either phone, though you do get an LED torch. Nokia 106 4G can play MP3 files though you’ll have to provide your own microSD card. The software side is covered by the Series 30+ operating system. Both devices support wireless FM radio which does not require plugging in a headset.

Nokia 106 4G

There’s a 1,000 mAh battery on the Nokia 105 rated at 12 hours of talks time and 22 days standby which charges via micro USB. Nokia 106 4G brings a larger 1,450mAh cell.

Nokia 105 (2023) comes in Charcoal, Cyan and Red Terracotta colors. Pricing is set at INR 1,299 ($16). Nokia 106 4G comes in Charcoal and Blue colors and is priced at INR 2,199 ($27). Open sales start today.

Nokia 105??? Useless fone. Nokia 106 should have had 2.8 inch screen with 2mp camera

Well AT LEAST the 106 got a card slot and can do stuff a phone with a card can without a camera (Plus IP52, now that small rain is forgettable). Remember the 106 2018 yet, that is almost nothing different than the 105 2017 other than an another desig...

Even opening contacts will load few seconds, s30+ is heavy and dumb os. S40 and symbian s60v3 require less resource, operate faster and have more features.
