This phone is good and economical. better than other phones of this range. I bought this phone due to increase in street theft (mobile snatching) in city.

This will be a great phone to keep for backup. Sometimes you just don't want to jeopardise that costly N91 etc when its raining and you just wanna keep a phone with you while playin football !!!

The point is that Nokia sells these low end phones in millions and millions. That's why it makes sense to, well, sell them.

nokia's not dumb for making this phone, duh. it's not like its their "top of the line" phone. it's a low-end phone for low-end users. if u want a high-end then get a Nokia N93 for Christ's sake! u guys are over-reacting. i'm 21 y/o. i have an N70 for show-off and a reliable 1110 behind the scene. i like my 1110 because of its ease-of-use and long battery life. although i think the 1100 is a better low-end than this one.

Handset is fine forsimple phone users But Battery Talk timeis not so good if u use it wd inbuilt handfree.Otherwise a Nice shaped handset.

This phone is great~!!! Nice design, qwerty keyboard build-in, 16 billion colour 7" touch screen, stereo quality speakers, symbian version 10, etc. What r u waiting for~!!??? haahaahaa

just thought i'd pop in and let "drj" know a little thing or two. how many times do you think nokia representatives have received tech support calls from elderly people who dont know the least thing about music storage on a phone or how to surf the web? the basic knowledge most people have about a phone is to dial the number and push talk. once finished, push hangup. that's what everybody knows. if you can't master this skill, don't even bother getting a phone. just have a mailbox. that takes no technical expertise whatsoever. why don't you go cure cancer drj? but wait! the basic knowledge is that it kills you because of splitting cells. but go try to make a medication that can cure the world from it. "didn't think so.:)"

This phone does what a phone is supposed to do. Let the iPod, digital camera, and laptop do what they're supposed to do...music, pics, and surf the web. This phone has got to be one of the most reliable phones (seeing as to Nokia's strong past of amazing voice quality) that will be on the market. By leaving off all the features not required on a phone, Nokia can focus on making a mobile phone be an amazing mobile phone.

A friend of mine showed this model and I thought the display was cool although the phone is nothing to look at. The buttons were not clustered together and that was comfortable. I wish I could have the retro screen display as a menu option on my 5140i. It would look cool inside out, and be fully functional.

Perfect phone for backpackers/kids or for those people (and there are alot of them) who just want a phone that makes calls and maybe the odd text message a bit strange nokia has made this and the 1112 etc but hey people like choice good going nokia

as for the comment by "not a nokia fan", have you ever thought that the posts here are from real people, that if you take time to look, hate the design and pure lack of features from this mobile. They are not some statistics from the nokia bible pasted on here. Okay, so take a look at the voting results, posts, ask your friends if they would buy this. most kids want a colour screen and a camera like their mates, probably a cheap sagem rather than this. Can you imagine buying your kids, (or yourself) a black and white tv and a betamax video to go with it just because its cheap? Maybe a binatone "square ball" tennis game to play instead of an xbox? didn't think so. :)

It occurs to me that the only people who would bad-mouth a phone like this are for the most part uneducated or have no concept of market demand vs. product development. You think nokia just makes phones like this because they are behind the times or don't know what theyre doing? Hahaha, do some reading friends: nokia OWNS the cell phone world in terms of sales AND revenue. They do their research, they know what people want, and they give it to them. This is obviously a super simple, easy to use, affordable phone for young ones (hence x-press on covers). Think you have better sales strategies than nokia? You guys wouldn't last a day...

wats the point in this phone been made, fair nuf u want just an old back and white phone 2 make calls, well get one off ebay! nokia is going down hill, samsung and sony are way ahead of ya!
