Got this phone this morning as a temporary handset.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS PHONE!
The keys are not too hard to press, if anything, its nice to have a phone that has solid feeling keys. The phone is only slow if your contacts are stored ON THE SIM CARD. If they are stored on the phone, it is a lot faster.
I have no idea what this voice leakage is about, but if people can hear your conversation, may I suggest turning the volume down?
This phone costs £20.00 with orange, and it is well worth the money, does everything a phone needs to do, In a small, convenient package.

Next I'll leave a simple review of my Nokia 1616.
Advantages:
+ inexpensive
+ very light
+ simple to operate (no need to read a single page of the manual)
+ 250 SMS capacity
+ very nice battery
Disadvantages:
- the keys are very hard to press, especially the central cursor (note that there's no OK on cursor, just up, down, left and right)
- the speaker on its back, so everybody will listen to your recipient's voice (why nokia!?)
I use my as a 2nd cheap phone. After this decide for yourself.

Battery loose in the phone, making the phone turns off by himself. Everything bad in this phone, sold it and bought a nice cheap Samsung. Quality is far better. Nokia can not even make cheap phones

basic calendar that only supports 1 day entry, meaning no weekly or monthly
free headset, no mp3, has radio
no notes program
light, standard nokia battery
for less than $30, this is an awesome phone.
BUT too tiring for fingers to type on ! beware! I wished I have had bought another model. the keys are too firm for text messaging

loud speaker very bad and very slow.
when i type text masage sudenly coverage signel down i lose text and i re type again.
no good performance batter than old model.
