indeed an excellent phone its radio is awesome but its back cover looks somewhat old generation type battery backup best in its class

sound leaks and most of the time you hear your own voice from earpiece. the person on other side also complaints the same.. furthermore, sometimes problem in searching contact starting with "S".

nokia 1616 - nice colours, awsome flashlight - but why the hell is the speaker in the rear? sound volume is very low and it is really hard to hear the person you are speaking with. The phone has radio facility but you can only hear it properly when you are outdoors. it doesn't really work much inside a building. also cursor keys and call answer and reject buttons are stuck together. most irritating - these buttons don'tget pressed properly

I have bought this phone yesterday and it is an awesome one. It is just for 1400. The features are very simple and very good to use. The features which I like are as under:
1) Cricket and Solitaire game are very good
2) Radio quality is awesome
3) Torch and ringtones are awesome

Iulian, 17 Sep 2010My Nokia 1616 phone is shut down while calling. Get the latest software upgrade done in nokia service centre, the prob will get resolved. i ad the same

To Nokia: I would love to have a simple phone
positioned between the 1616/1800 and the 2690.
Design: like 1616 simple,sturdy, big keys.(2690 keys not comfortable)
Features: 1616(3.5mm jack, flash light) plus mp3 player, decent loud speaker, fm transmitter, bluetooth, card slot.
priced at INR2200 would be ideal.

I bought this phone month ago and I am totally satisfied. I wasn't expecting it would be luxury phone, Its very basic comfy phone with battery up to 5 days. I would definitely recommend it.

Just Brought this from Mobilestore. I am disappointed !! Nokia 1616, this is Worst Creation of Nokia!
I have been using Nokia phones, since the time of 3310.
The Speaker is rear, it sounds better when used from back side. People at sorrounding can listen to watever you are talking. I must say the sound leaks.
