if a person canot make basic unitrreptet call and many complains from freinds and office that u are not reachable. then its better i should go 10 yrs back and give my land line no. to all. sorry nokia, do not betray india and stop saying my nokia.instead of going for hifi smart phone please work on basics first. for which a man is so much dependable on a mobile handset.please take care,

Please , I ask the owners of this model Nokia 1800 how many reminders are available.
Nokia service insists that there are 20 reminders available, but some user wrote on this forum that there are only 10 reminders.

By far the WORST phone i have ever bought. Brand new and it does not accept calls...DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!

Got this phone from Virgin Mobile in Australia.
The only problems seem to be that it feels rather cheaply made and the calendar doesn't let you store more than about ten reminders.
The calls are very clear (much better than my more expensive Nokia 6600 slide). Texting is easy and fast. The torch is useful. It is nice compact size.
Overall I'm very happy with it. If you're looking for a basic phone it is worth checking out

do you really have this phone? My mom uses it and she is not having any problem with it. It never hanged, No problem with text, reception is fine. Only problem is voice clarity is a bit low. But anybody could hear it. The speaker is very loud and produces good quality sound.My mom uses very primary operations and it has only that sort of operations.As someone said in an opinion conversations could be heard by others...well that is funny; it never happens unless you activate the loudspeaker. I'll suggest you to visit the service center and get it repaired.

Hi ,
Please dont buy this phone. Its having hung problem.
Also signal problem. After giving it to service Center for three times that also within month ,problem is not rectified.
So please consider my opinion before purchasing the mobile.

i bought nokia 1800 some three days before, and i have found it wonderful.especially the display which is large and wonderfully loving. if anybody is a bit puzzled between nokia 1616 and nokia 1800, then i would strongly recommend to buy nokia 1800.a friend of mine has bought nokia 1616, you would have seen his face when i showed him my nokia 1800.the very next day he sold his nokia 1616, and bought 1800. with new and beautiful themes, and bright color display, nokia 1800 creates its own place in the world of mobiles.

Glitchiest & Slowest phone Nokia Corp ever made!
Nokia 1800 seems like a pretty handy, cheap, usable set. But owners be aware! This is one of the worst cell phones Nokia could ever come up with. Even 1200 feels like a king before this. The only thing good about 1800 is its design and color display. The set hangs up often, you can't write texts properly due to the software being too slow, it restarts at its own will, extremely bad reception, the sound goes blank when you make calls & the list goes on and on!
I personally am regret buying this phone. And strongly recommend others not to make the same mistakes that I did.
To Nokia: Come on people! We expected a lot better from you. Who knew when you give good looks, you'll take away the usability? That is why you shouldn't outsource too much.

The phone ONLY looks good, some useful features are provided at such a low cost. Build quality is not that good (Being a cheaper phone, but So-So..)
Worst thing abt the phone is unwanted and un-timely restarts.... Quite annoying...
Secondy the loud speaker and the handset speaker being common your conversation can be heard by person standing next to you even Much better than you could hear (since the Loudspeaker opening on rear side)
Another drawback poor built is the keypad....
Overall ok for a handset of Rs. 1600.

I like this set very much. It is a set full of every thing which a user can require for its daily use. I like this to recommend this phone strongly.

Yeah! I found the phone very efficient and useful. Basically I m from India... and u cannot expect a lots of facilities costing around Rs2000/- cell phones. So the phone is very much good one both for style as well as day to day usage. I m happy. After one should be satisfied that he/she is using branded handset, not the local-mades. Thanks to NOKIA

Recently I bought this phone from Nokia showroom,level 5, Bashundhara city, Bangladesh......and I wanna tell you that Nokia 1800 is very bad condition. Network problems, mic problem and many many problems. Also speaker problem.....that anyone beside you can hear your conversation with your caller bcz the back speaker also work while you talk like loudspeaker. I bought this phone by seeing its look, brand popularity.......and now i think that how foolish I am. Dnt waste your money by buying this phone even if you get warranty......because Nokia care in Bangladesh will not change your phone even if you buy 1 day ago. My nokia 1800 still have network problem...and i went Nokia care twice with this phone. They said that they change phone's motherboard but still have network problem. I bought this phone for 2560 taka and I think to buy Nokia's phone at this range up to 3000 taka is a waste of money. Because the quality is also low as price. Buy Nokia's phone price started from 4500 or buy other brand's phone at the price of nokia 1800. Forget this phone. Its only have beautiful design......nothing else.

I have a 1800 and a little problem with the keyborad. when I press 1 and after the number 3 I hear a loud noise and the three plastic key seems lifted from the printed circuit.

NOkia 1800 , 1616,1202,1203,1661,1662 and all these type of phones which have one speaker are fail.......very senstive mic and no privacy at all.
mic is very bad the listner can not hear ur voice because every voice coming behind u will mix with your voice and every one can hear the voice of ur speaker so no clearty and no privacy.nokia 1200,1208,1209 was great one ........so please i have a request to nokia please make new model of this type of phone and also make double sim in these type of phone and discontinue the all tpye of one speaker which i have discuss ubove.thanks

dis phone is not that good as it seems to be.looks good. but anyone can listen to u s it has a single speaker. so u need to adjust the volume every now and then. the phone gets switched off and on all of a sudden anytym and every tym.. really v.v.bad.
