ankur, 18 Jun 2010can any1tell me wat is the diffrece btwn 1616 & 1800....?1661 has proprietary Nokia 2.5mm headset jack. Both 1616 a 1800 have standard 3.5mm headset jack. 1616 has soft rubber keypad (with shorter life-time). 1800 has hard plastic keypad (with longer life-time).

It would be great if you could use the 1800's covers ("housing") on the 1616, you could turn your 1800 into a 1616 and vice versa! So, if covers are the only difference between the two, why did Nokia even bother making this model?!

well..the diffrent between the two,1661 and 1800,as what i see,is that the keypad at the frist one is almost the same with 1800,but 1800 is much more softer touch,which i think its even better!
and plus it looks really good for a phone at this price range!
and it does soundes better than the 1661,atleast for now!

is the keypad rubber (like 1200-sort of) or hard plastic? if rubber, after somtime the keypad feedback is disastrous and annoyingly uncomfortable, unlike as it used to be like the moment of first time usage

i just got this 1800 last night,and so far so good!
i bought it after my 1661 had to be put for rest after 2 years in service,which is pretty good for a phone at that price range(dirt cheap).
in this 1800,seemes like its doing all what it should do,as a very basic cell,and a bit more.
i will post more comments,once i have for some more times for un update!

hope nokia 1800 will fulfill all d needs of all those who needs comfortability, clearity of voice, classic looks, affordable price. a common man can also experience d cellphone of economical range in branded co's range, instead of going for a too high range cellphone.

it may be having the same problem of network fluctuation like 1602 and 1601 is having.. it is a waste cell. better to go samsung in this range.
