I bought this phone as I was looking for the following features
1)a basic colour phone with higer memory capacity to store contacts
2)a battery that lasts for 3 days at least.
3)light weight
4)Spreadsheet/budget manager required.
5) cost to be around 3k
6) camera and fm were optional.
Previously I had the 'normal 2600'. From the reviews '2600 classic' seemed like a good choice and I went ahead with it. Got it for Rs 3300 from a Nokia priority dealer
I got most of the above features but I faced the following problems
1) the phone hangs frequently. Especially on receiving messages.
2) The battery lasts for 2 days only ( This is on using 2 hours of talktime + 3 photos + sending/receiving about 30 sms).
But on standby it lasted for about 4 days ( no calls but about 20 sms)
3) The phone is slow while opening/closing the folders ( including inbox) and applications.
4) The keys are not well spaced and its possible that we may punch the adjacent keys frequently.
I dunno if there was some problem with my phone or is there a general problem with 2600 classic.
My father uses 2630 and i feel that would have been a better choice. As it is more sleek and lighter than 2600 and the keys are bigger. All other features are same as '2600 classic'.

I wanna buy this fon.but I dnt knw is it show caller time when I talking in mobile?
Another Question is, this fon have differnt caller group in phonebook?
nd my my last Question is, this fon can give any DELIVERD report in sending any Messages?

Hi,
I found this phone to b pretty cool esecially at a price of INR 3000 its a great buy.
Its light, gr8 looking and loaded.
The camera(with video facility for 3000 bucks!!) is of decent resolution.
There are two negatives about it:
One the FM software sucks big time, as setting stations and adjusting volume is a tedious process in this one.
Number two, the phone is a bit slow, but not very slow though.
Its a gud buy....

It's a great phone for basic things, the really long standby time is great, speakerphone is just a little bit too soft, and the menu is also a little slow, not really annoying, just a bit. You can send groupsms btw.

Hi everyone. Nokia 2600c is really a very good phone in its range. This phone is truly a value for money product. I bought this for 3200/- INR. This phone have group messaging feature too. The only thing which is wrong is that this phone is a bit slow on operating, but I think this is not a major issue.

it is very slow showing data on screen and small vidio memory and the case is very tinny so it is easy to break it does not have card......etc

This is a classic phone. Slim and handy. It does almost everything. Very reasonable price.

I got this phone yesterday, and I'm really happy with it. Oh, I just realized that 2600 and 2630 is like the Motorola L Series of Nokia.

Actually i like this phone, the design so slim and look more classic if compare with their price. i've read it in the newspaper (philippine star dated may 12, 2008) that it has interchageable cover.. (like 3310, 1100, etc..)
