Beautiful phone without memory. I have to constantly delete my e-mails to receive new ones because of a lock of memory. Also, cant view attachments coz memory cant handle them. Very disappointing coz I cant slot extra memory. What a waste

the 2680 is a great phone but i have one huge problem with it... the memory!!! whats up wit 12mb?! thats like one good song. if the people at nokia wanna improve on it, all they should do is add a micro-SD slot and i bet you the phone will fly off the shelfs. peace out.

I've had this phone for 3 months now on cincinnati bell. When I first got it, I thought the phone would be better than it actually is. The phone has on 12 mb. I mean, what's up with that? How do you give a phone a music player but only 12mb? I tried putting songs on here and I could only fit 2 songs and barely the second one. The phone is always cutting off while I'm using it. Whenever I try to send pictures after my phone has been on for a long time, it says operation cannot be completed, so I have to turn my phone off and back on just to send a picture.
The only good things about this phone are it looks nice, slide feature is cool, the phone had T9, it is easy to text on, it is able to take pictures (even tho its only a VGA).... other then that, its a piece of s**t. I cant wait to get rid of this phone, I'm getting a Pantech slate (Great Phone) in its place.

The Nokia 2680 is a good phone. But has one small problem, the back slides off quite a bit. The radio on it is clear and hearable. The way to solve the back problem is to not drop it and be careful because I have dropped it many times and the back comes completly off and the battery out. other than that it is a pretty simple fone.

The memory specs stated herein are in error; like the 1680c, the 2860 has only 12 MB shared memory, of which about 9 MB are user-accessible, NOT 32 MB.
In this day and age it's ridiculous not to offer a micro-SD slot or at least reasonable onboard memory. With a few lines of code (cost=ZERO) and a card reader chip (cost ~$2 US in quantities 100+) or more flash memory (cost ~$2 per 16MB in qty. 100+) inclusion of same would not break the bank. The phone's price would still be at the point that Nokia intended, while satisfying users. Because nothing will kill business quicker than unsatisfied users!
A shameful decision to omit these features when other manufacturers are now including micro-SD and/or decent onboard memory as standard in devices in the same price/feature bracket.
It seems that lately, Nokia has been resting on it's laurels being the largest cellphone manufacturer in the world (40% global market share), and a reputation for top-quality products, but that reputation will be damaged (along with their market share) if they keep cutting costs, and features along with, to the bone in an age where competitors are quickly surpassing them. I suspect that the company may be run by bean-counters, not engineers... and we've seen time and again what happens to corporations in similar situations.
As it is I was considering buying Nokia stock but I'm questioning the wisdom of doing so now.
In response to those who want more music on the phone: you can convert to .amr format as one poster suggested, or use an mp3 compression utility (Google it) to reduce file size significantly without noticeably sacrificing quality in most typical listening situations.
