Please anyone respond (to psspies@mweb.co.za) whether you have experienced a simalar problem on a 5 month old Nokia N2700 Classic. Nature of complaint: The phone died and could not be switched on again. The analog clock also dis not function from the 1st day when its set to analog clock. The service center declared that the phone is beyond repair due to oxidation of the motherboard and I must pay R75 to get the phone back without being repaired. There is no way that the phone could have gotton wet or oxidation on it while it was with me. I am waiting for Nokia to investigate the matter since I suspect a faulty phone (may even be pre-used and repacked unit) was supplied to me in the first place and that the oxidation was present from day when it was delivered in Dec09. I am sure that oxidation of a pc board can also happens after a PC board was assembled and in the manufacturing /soldering process minute chemical deposits are not properly cleaned before the phone is assembled. I have seen this more than once with remote control pc-boads from China. This cause a gradual growth of the oxidation until the point is reached when the unit’s functionality fails. I also requested Nokia honor their guarantee and replace the phone. I am waiting fot their response.

It was a great handset. But now its going down. Is nokia providing us with software upgrade or software downgrade? Features are becoming lesser day by day with updates. When at 7.15 it was right, in 7.80 the music player blacked out, in 9.95 the screen saver has gone and music player has become slower. What is this? I want to know when a complete bug free release will be delivered.

In packet data settings write the access point of your network. Then install cable drivers and pc suite in pc. Then connect phone and in pc suite select connect to internet. Then select the configure button and select your network or if it doesn't exist then manually enter access point, username, password of your network. I think this will solve your problem.

Saif, 20 May 2010Mahin how to send photos using yahoo to our friend in mobile...if its matter of yahoo,then download nimbuzz messenger on phone.u will get it from get.nimbuzz.com.here u can send pics more than 300kb too.if u have ovi, hotmail or gmail account, then u can use ur phone's built in email option for sending photo.its easier and faster.bt here pics must b less than 300kb.go to messeging>email and follow instructions.u can add more than 1 mailbox.i cudnt use my yahoo account by this method.try urself and if any problem, plz inform here.thanks...

Nokia 2700 Classic is a good phone. It has some good qualities in it, but has some bad too. I am explaining these bellow..
Good:
It has good ringing sound, so when u get a call, u can easily hear it even in a noisy place.
Call sound is also good.
It has a good camera quality comparing other 2mp models from Nokia.
Menu operation is user friendly.
Bluetooth, FM is also work good.
Bad:
Battery is not good. Only 1 day of use and the battery will drains its full charge.
Maximum 1hr of talks and few sms, thats all the battery can offer u (BL5C battery)
Mobile is getting started to heated after talking of 10 mins of talks. So its not good for the mobile and for ur health too.
Battery charging time is 2.4 to 3hrs.
