Joe, 13 Aug 2009I bought the nokia 2700 classic about a week back for 4900 ... morehi joe there is some more diffrence that u didn't wrote or u might not hv observed.
1)2700 processing speed is much more faster than 5130 or u can say it works lightining fast
2)sound quality is almost same i don't think u can find big diffrence,its just slight diffrence which is unnoticeable. u can notice only if u listen it very carefully. so its negligible point to compare.
3)battery life is same as nokia 5130 i hv checked it . i am using this mobile and i get 4 days battery back up with moderate use. if u get less back up than u might be having problem in ur phone. broadly u just hv to charge twice a week . that is excellent
4) looks- nokia 2700 gives very decent look and nokia 5130 give a real music phone looks. so its individuals choice
4) keypad is really nice. i m not facing any problem while typing . even it doesn't make sound while pressing unlike nokia 5130.
5)as u said screen is bit clearer than 5130
6)i just miss dedicated music keys
7)regarding radio reception .it will improve if u use good quality headset.i hv experienced it
8)again on camera disagreement wid u, both d mobile hv same camera quality whether its about snaps or taking video both hv same quality no diffrence.
i forgot to tell u that my battery back up increases wid the use .1st i was getting 3 days battery back up and now i m getting 4 days bak up. might be ur cell is new so u r getting low bak up.

2700 its goood phone its as 3.5 mm jock as weel as camara good

I bought the nokia 2700 classic about a week back for 4900 Rs and I've been putting it through its motions. I have a friend who's got the 5130 which is about 3 months old and I had a look at it before buying this phone, so the decision to buy the 2700 was a relatively informed one. I'll give you a list of comparable features and leave the rest up to you
Music - With the supplied headphones the audio quality was pretty similar and quite good in both for phones of this price. With creative speakers the 5130 gets ahead of the 2700 in terms of quality but only just. Then theres the dedicated music keys in the 5130 which is convenient.
Battery life - The nokia website says talktime and stand by time are simliar in the 2 phones whereas the 5130 can play upto 20 hours of music compared to the 2700's 12 hours, which i think is fairly accurate and quite a vast difference. However overall battery life of the two phones are comparable with both phones lasting an average of 2 days with average usage.
Build quality - i found the 2700 to have a more rich, finished and durable feel to it. Its marginally lighter too. Although ergonomically the 5130 may be better, its got a more 'plasticky' feel to it than the 2700. The 2700 wins the battle of the looks too.
Camera - Both have a 2 mp cam although the 2700's picture quality was slightly better than the 5130. Also the screen in the 2700 is slightly larger and feels a wee bit clearer
Keypad - This is where these phones are really different. The 5130 has very crunchy keys whereas the 2700 has a glassy feel to it. The keys are better spaced out in the 5130 which makes typing easier although both keypads are equally tactile
Performance - This for me was the clinching factor. My friend says that his 5130 is prone to freezing occasionally. And this was an opinion shared by a few users who had reviewed the phone online. No such problems encountered with the 2700 so far in the six days i have used this phone.
Other features are pretty much the same on both phones and details can be found on the nokia website. Price wise the 5130 is only about 400 to 600 Rs more than the 2700 depending on where you live

In univercell, its available for 4750. and I think the prices will go down to around 4200 in sometime.

How is the keypad on this phone?
Is it hard and make noise while typing as though made up of plastic ( like Nokia 1100) or is it swift and easy to type?

This is a brilliant phone. Awesome value for money. I can see this being a huge blockbuster for Nokia. The features are top class.
Classic looks and great finish. Very useful 3.5 mm audio jack. Also, the performance of the phone is top class. Very happy with the phone.

hey, I just have bought one 2700c by bdt 7000 equivalent to Euro 69. I think the price here quoted (Euro 140) is a mistake.

in my country (Indonesia) 5130 n 2700 has same price (in dollar about 110 ), so i think i wll buy 5130
