hmmm..i m getting N3230 nxt week..
and i was wondering..can someone nice enough send me a list of all the applications that is a must have and where to get them?
i also hear from friends that u cannot save directly to MMC card via bluetooth transfer is there a way for me to do that i know there has been people saying to get MsvDrivE which brings me to my second qn..Can someone also explain to me how the MsvDrivE work?i m very confused..some ppl comment that it helps u save ur msg to the RS-MMC card..but i read some comment that it allows u to make ur default saving place ur MMC card?so can someone clear it up for me?

there's no way n3230 can have stereo playback no matter what you do. these guys are in denial stage. cud not accept they bought a celfon monoaural but deep inside they felt cheated.

u must hav misunderstood me just to recap what i meant was i used the latest OS 4.0537 on my n3230, powermp3 player with equalizer, hacked HDS 3 equipped now with mini jack to accomodate all home-brew stereo headsets but still not the kind of stereo playback i expected compared to audio output quality from my PC winamp. so i was asking louis regarding his samplerate if that's the one causing monoauralplayback bcz the higher the samplerate encoded the better playback we'l hav. so i was asking louis if there is a way to increase samplerate encoding to enhance playback. i stl cud not agree that the playback ur hearing from ur n3230 after all these upgrading is on stereo mode, enhanced but not stereo.

louis is right about that bitrate thing, I tried saving some mp3 that has a 64K bitrate,(I tried using the mp3resizer anyway) and it sounds like it wasn't compressed.

I made mp3s of 22kHz 64k bitrate (I convert using nero) and they sound the same as a 44kHz 128k bitrate one. They play on my N3230 alright. So I don't think the info saying N3230 can only play 44khz file is correct.
I'm not using the player u guys mentioned though. Now most of the time I'm using WMAplus to play.

almost forgot to ask u whats the bitrate and sample rate display on the powermp3 of your mp3s. kinda wonder how'd you convert it using what wav-mp3 converter? bcz n3230 reads only 44khz samplerate, is it enough to stream a stereo playback?

OS4.0537. cud not believe u wer able to hack it oops. i presumed it s the headset then that makes all the difference? (the Hackaday way?) um i'll try it myself and inform you of the progress. thanx

well i'm pretty sure it's stereo sound cos i'd compared it with my apple ipod's output. hmm..wats ur firmware version? anyway, i'm looking for Cubix mp3 player. Heard that it's a highly rated app!

'm new with NOKIA 3230
I used to have 3650 and i know every nokia fone has the total number
of messages indicated in : inbox, outbox, sent etc
When i open INBOX messages, there , i can see the list of the
messages. And when I read the 1st message, there should be 1/45 (if
let's say i have 45 messages in my inbox)
But i dont' see any 1/45 ? Are all nokia 3230 like that?

thanx for the info, my dilemma is i'm using power mp3 with equalizer but the output is still not in stereo mode as compared to its fm stereo audio quality. i kind of wonder if the stereo quality you r talking about is really it because to me it's not (although powermp3 amplified the volume), wud you agree with me if i'l say that it's the hardware that is not capable of stereo playback and not the software?

I connect my 3230 to pc with a dku2 cable..everythings went fine untill yesterday.It says my mobile is connected via usb but i'm not able to view the contents and i'm not able to install any softwares with pc suite..guys pls help.. thanks..

I've tried/installed the program PowerMp3(can be found at dotsis.com/vb). It plays mp3s in STEREO. Trust me, it reli is.
I've also hacked and modified my nokia headset and added my ipod earphones(extra pair), and they reli enhanced the sound quality. check it out: www.hackaday.com
My current 3230 firmware version is v4.0537.0ch

i've just had my n3230 upgraded to latest OS 4.0537 and it improved the sound quality than it was previously but still not in stereo mode. is there anyone tried stereo headphones? does it do the trick?

It is quite good but i got it reformatted already bucause of program malfunction.We know well that os repair cost a lot. may i suggest that sending message and adding 20+ recipient makes it not responding. it wont reboot and u got no signal.(blame it on unlinited sms sendind)
