Hi TC,
how are u doing.. I logged on to this site after some time now.. and surprised to noticed that alots of ppl are having problems with this one. It has been over a month now that im using this set and NO PROBLEM at all.... Use it correctly and it will perform.... as it says user friendly... I m using it for MSN, checking my emails. recently downloaded and installed Opera for browsing and it has become full working hand held PC :):).. Im only seaching for FREE Instant messenger as Ultra MSN and Quick MSN are time bounded and expire after the trial period.... and i m not in a mood to purchase any.. :):) Kindly let me know, is there any IM Free for life of cost.. which i can install with out the fear of trail period expiry..
Help me out on this one too. ;)

Ha, normally I'm the one sending file rather than receiving so I don't have much experience. However, I think the bluetooth receiving mode is same as the SMS system (anyone pls correct me if I'm wrong). So if u use that program (MSDriveE??) to switch ur SMS receiving mode to memory card, then any file received via bluetooth will go to the memory card also and won't have the memory limit (well, memory limit up to ur memory card free space).
Extra note:
As to why I didn't bother switching it to the memory card... coz I'm too lazy to receive big files thru bluetooth from other phone. I rather transfer big files to my memory card using card reader. Much faster. Also, sometimes I don't bother switching off the phone when I take out the memory card. If in the event someone sms or send something in, I think the phone will automatic revert back to phone memory receiving mode and u got to reinstall the program to switch back the mode.
PS: hey Chris, don't say I didn't warn u, b4 u install the program, make sure whatever message u want is properly backup coz after u install u won't be able to see the previous messages in ur phone. There's a complicated way to retain/move all message to memory card but it's beyond discussion here.

Hey,
a load of people seem to be having trouble with this 3230 on the old firmware. well.........
I have had this phone for 3months now. its restarted twice on me (because i pressed to many buttons at once). iam still on the old firmware i think?:

i have a 512mb mmc card loads of apps installed including tomtom sat nav (had to buy a gps receiver tho) but this phone is the best phone i have ever had.
with the sound issues, the quality is bad if up FULL but put it down one or two notches and its good enough for me. cam is ok but not that great at night (who cares? if you want to take pics at night take a proper cam with a flash with you)
but i have to say the tomtom sat nav is awesome cant get enough of it.
only one thing i want to no is: can you change receiving bluetooth files to save on mmc card? do you no TC? if anyone does drop me a email.
allinall i think this phone is awesome.

Does anyone here have any problems using this phone's infrafred? (The bluetooth works perfectly.) My phone's IR doesnt' work with SE K-500i, Siemens CX 65, and N6230. Is there something wrong with my phone or dyou think I have to exchange this from the store where I bought it from? Your answers are greatly appreciated!

How do you remove the cover?
I have a new cover and the required screw driver but cant work out how to take it off without really forcing it. I dont want to break the original cover.

I bought this phone 6 months back and i have sent it to the nokia services center more than 9 times. it hangas, error/warrning tone before the ring or the message tone. Cant transfer anything that is bigger than 4mb cant set the message memory to the rs mmc. Try and use the phone quickly it hangs and restarts or simply restarts when u unlock the keypad. I just hate the phone the worst phone i have ever bought. I am kind a losing hopes on NOKIA.

omfg.. i just bought this phone bout 3 weeks ago, now i cant even turn on the phone.. =(
does it happen to u guys? i push the power button n it didnt show any response. goin to the nokia stores for this prob today.. but this thing just disappointing

I don't know whats with this phone. It hangs frequently and I gave it to the NOKIA Service twice and it just seems that the problem persists.

hey,
I bought this phone yesterday, it has the latest firmware and I found tow problems:
1)the error sound before any call or msg sound
2)the sound volume doesn't work on MP3 player
any solutions?

the volume on mine is non existent (the ringing tone) ive changed profiles, tones but i suspect its a firmware prob. if it is where can i get it done, how much and can they do it while you wait or is it a leave it there for a week kind of thing?

hi guys i can see that many of you are not satisfied with the mp3 player of N3230 well this is not an mp3 player its a phone so any mp3 player for about 50-60euro will get you better sound thats the soluion(for at least 1 year)until better mp3 phones at an afortable price arive and about memory you can very easy find out how much your phone supports .Simply go to the store and ask the dealer to try some RS-MMC(and see who will work he he ) in your phone at least thats what i did. My question cann anyone tell me about sites who offer free symbian programs

Hey guyz ....dont even think to buy this disgusting set..i had bought it b4 4months and it was a worst experience for me ..there is alot of hanging problem in it ...and its sound quality is lowesssssttt ....itc lcd had alot of problem very slow processing ..overall it was a WORSTTTT experience so plzz guyz dont waste time and money on this disgusting set ...it looks gud but .... !!HUH

Hi,
Has anyone tried the PD-2 Flash Enhancements for this phone. Does it work? Photos taken in poor lighting conditions are gariny and thought the flash would solve the problem.
