hello , I had these two questions :
1-Where exactly I can find 3230 FIRMWARE ?
(CAN IT BE FOUND ON THE WEB ? )

2-Can I my self upgrade and patch my phone or it needs any special equipment ?

Phone will support any Rs-mmc, even 1 gb but will become a little slow...
However if u leave sufficient space on ur memory card free ( about 100 mb) then i dont think you should be having any problems....

I have an nokia rs-mmc 128mb. I want to buy an 1gb rs-mmc. How the phone will work with 1gb rs-mmc. I will put just music on this 1gb rs-mmc(not software...). Will my phone work good? Or this phone support max 512 mb? Is there any limit for rs-mmc for 3230?
Help me pls!

I bought my Nokia 3230 in June 2005 in a duy free shop at Niece airport. The ringing volume has become very low of late even though it is at it maximum.

Please do help since we do not have any NOkia customer care in Ghana.

Also the screen reset by itself once in a while.

GOOD NEWS!!!

All the bug features of this fone has been corrected by the latest firmware version V 4.052602

1) Fat Pics = solved

2) No vibrate in silent mode = solved

3) Slow RAM = improved

4) Mono MP3 = solved its now STEREO

So guys go to the nearest Nokia Care Center to have your phones upgraded. Its free if you still have warranty.

And if you doubt if this version is already available at your country. I bet its already available in your country for it is already in the Philippines. My beloved, country =)

Every 3230 user pay attention...now therz a solution to the mp3 problem... just follow these steps and ull get an mp3 player in ur phone which would be comparable to any other phone in the market and even the ipod...

1. get the latest firmware update version 4.026

2. install the viking 3.5 mp3 player..

(now comes the good part)

3. now connect your handsfree to ur handset and play any mp3 through the viking player.

4. while the mp3 is running in the backgroung restart your phone ( with the handsfree plugged in..

Now play any mp3 again and

WAAALLLAAAHHHH.. you have got urself an extremly loud and clear mp3 player( amazing clarity) in your 3230 and u can even control the bass and everything using the equaliser in the software..

hey ppl.. i had this phone for abt 4 months.. now im thinkin of buyin the K750.. i might not like SE because im used 2 a symbian phone... but lets c.. well this phone is not that bad... i liked it.. good screen.. only disadvantage is.. dust goes inside and u cant clean it (easily).
key pad is kinda cool.. (gd lookin 4 me) nice design.. jotstick was durable.. althought it made funny soundz the last few days.. well maybe not that much but yeah its kinda ok.. but the 6600 has a better joystick... another thing i realized the last few days was, everytime i push d joystik down i sorta feel like its touchin the keys or some thing.. hard 2 explain.. jst that it made a wierd noice n all..!!
software side is kinda good.. but i had 2 format it 2 times.. but that was my fault i think.. i installed some crapy softwares.. oh and another thing.. maybe its jst mine phone.. i found that the metal parts on both sides, they seem 2 get scratched easily.. n rusts too.. so b ware..
alltogether nice phone.. im not a nokia guy.. but im not SE either... so il rate this... ermm abt 7.5/10 yeah...
gd phone.. worth buyin i think..

I have an nokia rs-mmc 128mb. I want to buy an 1gb rs-mmc. How the phone will work with 1gb rs-mmc. I will put just music on this 1gb rs-mmc(not software...). Will my phone work good? Help me pls!

Hi everybody i recently purchased a N3230.It works fine and i think i have the latest firmware V4 but i am unable to use ultra mp3 player and a lot of other apps dont seem to work ..........could some1 help me please

Hi Guys for those who want to store their SMS in the memory card we have a program called MSeDrive this will swap the condition for memory and will store it on the memory card and for the Sound Quality we can upgrade the firmware it will not make it from Mono to Stereo but will improve the sound quality by adding Bass Effects..And for those who want to remove the annoying Beep i think that we have to bear that is a BAd part in this Nokia Phones we have to Upgrade the firmware for all phones atleast once and if it stil continues then it is a problem with the Phone .....If u think that u like to change ur phone then go for Sagem MyX-8 this is one of the best models ever built it looks a bit bulky but sounds great with more feautures than what u expect or else we can go for MyX-6-2 this is also another good one ..Or if ur looking for a model that wil add more price then Go for any Smartphones >which i think some companies like O2 , Krome , Pocket PC , Imate , Qtek these brands use Windows OS it will not give any problems and will not run out of memory or crash like SymbiamOS .Thank u Guys and if u like to know more details abt any phone please do mail me at mmrajesh2002@yahoo.com......byeeeee

Well i am Sonny-Ericsson fan, but i buyed a Nokia 3230, because SE K750 doesn`t have Symbian! But SE K750 has a perfect camera of 2MP and up tu 1632x1224 pixels

Help me pls.Is there any software for folder protection....to put password to some folders and when u need to open this folders to be prompted for password. help pls.
in my country isn't v.4 for firmware...does anyone help me with firmware?can anyone send firmware to mail? tolick_m@yahoo.com

Hello friends.
I would like to share with you my experiance to solve the dust problem in 3230.I have bought the very brilliant 3230 as I was interested in Mp3 and Radio.Finally i got the set after so much sdaving of money. But within 1 month the set got the dust accumulated on its screen. But I didn't worry much coz thats the usual prob with all Nokia sets.i thought that I would easily get rid of it by opening the panel.
But oh! the bastard panel.Nokia is clever enough to leave some drawback into its set by having some flaws. Earlier it would have all from camera to Mp3 but no radio.some times only radio. no Mp3. sometimes radio and Mp3 but No camera! here in 3230 it has given everything rad,cam and mp3 with Sym OS But Nn EASY panel changing.!!!!!!!
I read many forums which said that u ve to remove the backside of the camera cover on top or put screwdriver between the ear piece and display.I did all But was afraid that this would damage the phone.Then only thing was to go to Nokia care centre .
Then sudenly I saw 2 screws on its back sidebelow the battery.Bu hoew to remove it? So I purchased the Students kit of screw drivers for Rs.60 Then u unscrew the 2 screws up.Keep it safe.gently pull the keypad area near the pop-portup. Dont be rough.keep ur fingers near the upper area of joystickand slightly pull the front panel up.it should in slanting position with the upper part (near the earpiece and switch )off button of the front panel intact and fixed .then get smooth brush like i took the makeup brush of my wife whose bristols were of nylon.and insert only the bristols in the display area.Move it,rotate it and blow air from ur mouth.to get the dust out.
See. first time u'wll get only some dust removed.then when time passes and u start opening the phone frequently u'll fined that the panel has become loose and it departs much furthur away from its bottom part so that within 4/5 tries u can get ur full finger inserted ,with small smooth cloth, especially that used to clean ur glasses , if u r wearing one., and can clean and wipe off the DISPLAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
If at all it damges it'll damage only the panel. which can be easily replaced if it gets some scratches.from ur Nokia Care centre.Even the keypad can be removed.But dont try this in the very first attempt.As the panel is new.it will take time to be flexible.
To remove the keypad the keypad has to be tapped in from the button side and pushed towards the joystick(all this has to be done with the front part in half open position).then clean it and for replacing the key pad first put it near the display and then slide the lower end of keypadto fixitself within the scrwhole area.then gently tap it for gaining position.
while inserting ur finger on the display u hve to take care of the rubber sticker part surrounding the display area on the the panel.
ALL here u do prank with the panel and not ur phone.Do it genltly.beneath a table lamp and probably in AC room whwre there is no that much dust.

Yoz..For Viking mp3 player v3.50, go to www.dotsis.com/vb and go to the MP3-OGG Music Player. i oso recommend the wmaplus10 mp3 app(same website).it pauses the music wen an sms or call comes in and resumes after dat. yup.
And..the only way to get the v4 firmware for 3230 is to go to Nokia Care for an upgrade.U cant find the firmware anywhr else on the Web..

well, guess malaysia's firmware update is much slower compared 2 singapore's..hope zitron get v4 in malaysia asap..its like hoping full potential from a half complete phone (without v4 firmware)..anyone in malaysia have news on v4 firmware?
