RS-DV-MMC will always work on all nokia phone. Dual Voltage means the card itself support 1.8V and 3.0V mode.
However I don't think 3230 is capable of making use of the reduce voltage mode. BTW the bundled 32Mb memory card is in fact a DV card.
If money is not a concern, get a DV card so that u can use back the card when u upgrade to newer phones.
Otherwise, I don't see any reason to get a DV card.

Like brightside said, u can either get a card reader, bluetooth adapter or infra red to transfer files. For card reader, ur memory will appear like an external storage/hard drive. Just drag and drop the file to a folder will do. Once u put back the memory card to ur phone, use the file manager and look for the file then run/open it... then installation will take place. After installation finish, u can actually delete the installation file (.sis or .jar) to save some space.
As for bluetooth and infra red, u will have to have the PC suite to work. Presuming u know how PC suite works, once u get connected, u can actually browse ur phone through the Nokia phone browser and more or less it's like drag and drop as well. Else u can use the application installer of the PC suite. By just double click on the installation on ur PC, it will start of the application installer automatically (i think) and if ur phone is connected, it will probably install right away. The only drawback i think is that it will send the file to ur phone memory 1st and install right away and after installation it will delete the installation file straight away. So two problem u may face is, if ur phone memory is low probably can't install and 2ndly u can't keep a copy of the installation file in ur phone if u want to.
Hope this is clear enough.

hi anuj,
there is so much difference between 3230 and 6230i which is enough to be convinced to buy 3230. why? here is answer.. 3230 is symbian phone. which means lots of softwares can be installed on 3230 for example agile messenger, dictionary, games and lots of other application softwares. on the other hand it contains all those functions which r in 6230i.
on the other hand softwares cannot be run in 6230i. because it is not symbian os phone. which is a big difference. once u buy 6230i u can't do anything more then what already is in the phone. on the other hand 3230 is the phone which have so much fun that will keep u happy.
i reached alot and my experience is that 3230 is among top 3 model of nokia feature wise. so buy without any confusion and hesitation..

Well..for dose enquirin e transfer of files frm PC to phone, get a MMC card reader.U'll nid to insert ur MMC into e reader and plug e reader into the USB port of e PC.den it will appear as an external drive which u can EASILY "Drag N Drop" ur mp3s, pictures, ANY files, frm PC to MMC or e other way..
Well..the sound quality of playin mp3 on e phone is very left to be desired though..sigh..no stereo sound@all..well..other than that, 3230 rocks!

Do you need to use a cd driver software thing to transfer the data between the phone and computer? Or is it just a simple matter of click and drag?

I am planning to by a Nokia 3230. I am impressed with the features, but I am not sure about how it performs in realtime. Can anyone let me know whether there are any serious software/performance problems with this phone or is there any upgrade available, if at all there were problems earlier?
Thanks in advance.
