        Hi all,
the problem with recieving more than 4+Mb file transfer with this phone can be solved by using a little app called forward.sis. This app will forward all files recieved to your inbox. You can then open the file in your inbox and save it on the phone or card. I use it in conjuction with MsDriveE.sis which I have my mailbox moved to drive E on my memory card, so all big files goes straight to my memory card, and not on my limited phone memory storage space.
        Viola!

why Nokia 3230 cant receive any files that is larger than 4.8mb from another phone through bluetooth??
Everytime i receive the low memory warning on Nokia 3230. Nokia should built a phone with atleast 15mb on board memory....really it is nuisance.
          Any solutions to it??

          Pls Help
          TQ

            GodFather:
What do u mean the bitrate and freq I use to listen? Do U mean what bitrate and freq the mp3 files were encoded? I got different types ranging 128kbs to 190kbs. The 190kbs ones are those I got from friend mp3 cds. I didn't bother to downgrade it coz resampling from mp3 to mp3 will lower the sound quality a lot. But that shouldn't have any effect on the volume or distortion sound (well in fact it may introduce more distortion). The only benefit of having lower bitrate and freq is space and processing power I think. But I'm too lazy to resample some of my song and keep 2 sets of the song in my PC.

Sometimes I think how one define sound is lousy, distorted or flat is a very subjective matter. I personally are very particular when it comes to sound. 3230 is in fact never a good mp3 player whether using the loudspeaker or the headset. But I don't really bother anymore coz it got other attractive functions ;-) If what I really want is sound, I would have exchanged it with Sony Errison or Motorola long time ago.

What do u mean u use dBPowerAmp but volume is low? Is that ur mp3 encoder or that's a phone player program?

For info I use the Nero burners' mp3 encoder. Used to use mp3pro encoder (but not using the mp3pro mode) by Nero but later I use the Lame encoder which Nero bundled and it's free. BTW, do u all know u can encode AAC file using Nero? It's actually mp4 but u got to select an option at the mp4 -- something like export to ISO blablabla AAC.

Can you plz tell me what is the bitrate and frequency you use to listen to MP3 songs through loudspeaker.
The volume should be loud enough and still the song shoudn't get disorted or cracked.
I use dBPowerAmp but volume is too low from loudspeaker.I never listen to songs with the headset.
              Please recommend.

1.u should buy nokia 3230 if u want bigger screen and symbian os

2.u should buy k750i if u want good mp3 sound and higher res camera with light.

my opinion is nokia 3230 mp3 playback even using stereo headset has bad sound quality. mono and flat.

Occasionally this happen to me as well. Not sure what triggers it but just restart your phone and the volume control will be back to normal. Software problem I think.

I just loooove this phone, specially now when i got the DKU-2 cable and have learned how to make the mp3 files smaler,,from example 5 Mb to 3.2 Mb. But i dont know if 32 Mb is enough. I think i will buy the 256 Mb card but will it make the phone slower???

For those who are thinking of buying the phone go for it, its worth it...i bought the phone for 300 euros and i havent regret it!!

                              Enjoy the phone

                                    'Can't adjust speaker volume?'
The speaker volume has no effect when I adjust the volume bar left/right when playing mp3 or video. But when set to minimum (far left), it did become mute. Anyone got this problem too? Volume control is working fine on the earpiece though.

I'm not streaming from any other website coz that would cost me lot of these $$$$ i think. I've subscribe to my network's special package where they provide portal to their own server providing some video-on-demand stuff and few live streaming. While I stream from their server, I'm not being charged a single cent. I only need to pay a certain amount of monthly fee for this service.

Basically, I think the current phone firmware really weird. When I go to realplayer setting --> Connection --> Network setting --> advanced setting (through option), I see two setting there 1. GPRS and 2. EGPRS. But for both setting, the maximum is really low... EGPRS can only set to slightly over 80kbs.... that's only the max of normal GPRS??? Anyway, I sent an email to Nokia asking them about the firmware thing... hope they will enlighten me a bit soon.
