found out a better a better conversion overall using xilisoft video converter 3.1:

on d bottom part:
profile - 3GPP..
zoom - full..

after that click on d file u added and:
on d upper right part:
video codec - h263
video size - 176 x 144
bitrate - 256
frame rate - type in 22
aspect - auto
bitrate tolerance - type in 256
same quality - false
audio codec - mpeg4aac
bitrate - 32
sample rate - 32000
channels - stereo or mono (its up to ya)
disable audio - false

3250 uses d time of ur network operator, they hav a wrong time i think.. dat also happens to me, im from d phils and whenever SMART subscribers texts me, d time is wrong wyl GLOBE subscribers has correct time!

budsok:
first, manually backup ur files stored on ur internal memory, don't use PC suite backup to backup coz it will also save files installed on d internal mem, only use file mgr of d pc suite.. with that said, some files r still installed on d internal memory even if u install a app/game on d microSD, so d thing is there r still some files saved on ur internal memory resulting into an update error msg, and d only trick i know to delete it permanently is to type in *#7370# wyl on d standby screen, as wat i said, be REMINDED dat ALL ur files will be deleted so backup

for others having prob on sending msgs (taking long..):

hav ur firmare upgraded or changed into at least V3.21 RM-38 OEM by NOKIA.

i was thinkin abt buying tht phone but first i wanna know the total capicities of the 2 memories of da phone(built-in & external),bside i was wondering wht is the microSD memory?,need advice.............

hey!i rly lukin' 4 xcellent sound quality, very clear, n very loud phone!iz it 3250 phone iz da bez choice or any other phone dat hav a better sound quality?plz answer me as fast as possible!thx..

hi everyone even i am facing the same problem while sending Msg it takes about 3-4 mins for it to go and if a call comes at that time it rings on the other end but not notifing me . CAN SOME ONE HELP HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM OTHER THAN THE MSGIN PART EVERY THING IS COOL

But this message is for all the INDIANS out here, more specifically MUMBAI-ITES...
Incase anyone of you have received a faulty piece from your nokia dealer, and if the dealer is NOT ready to change the piece , or if he's taking too much time to do something, then i got one solution...

I recently read in the papers about a public helpline department of the Government called JAGO GRAHAK JAGO, where one such incident was mentioned( in which a faulty cellphone,was fixed with the help of this helpline ,within a week's time). I think they're quite serious, and i'm sure they'd be ready to help you.You can note down the number-

I dont know whether this is an all-India helpline or not,but i'm sure that any Mumbai-ite can call this number.Trust me, it will help...

hey i got 3250 2 months back...n its a neat fone! however im having trouble while sending messages...it takes around 2 min to send a message during which my fone hands completly n im not able to go to other menu n i cant even receive calls during that 2 min...does any 1 face any similar trouble?
n plz help me with this...thank you!

hi viperkid,

I need your help... I formatted my memory card, now my web browser (FEEDS) is missing in teh "My Own" folder. I tried to reinstall the FEEDS and Web Browser but it gives me an error "Update Error". I read in some forum that I need to restore my memory card with the original 3250 memory card. My memory card now only contains the ff folders, "Images", "Others", "Sound Clips", and "Video Clips". Maybe a folder or two is missings thats why I can't install the FEEDS successfully.

Anyways, any idea how to fix my problem?

hey people,i just got this nokia3250,works cool,looks cooler,friends r jealous n etc.etc....one glitch though,whenever i recieve a text message..the time details of the message is ahead by about 5 hours of the actual time....how do i fix it....?help me guys

thanx viperkid.. i guess i will look forward for buying 3250.. i actually was looking for a mobile with good sound and display along with a way to read pdf and document files on it.. i guess 3250 will do so with a good price.. thanx again..

i downloaded xilisoft 3gp converter.
what should i keep the settings for the video and the audio for maximum clarity?
does it work as clearly as the smartmovie?

kabayan,, ang hirap pumili sa dalawa e,, im quite fascinated with 6233's stereo. pero i wouldnt be playing it handsfree most of the time,, so do you think the sound quality using headfones would be the same as 3250? better or worse? ofcourse using my prefered headphones a,, not the nokia ones...

yeah 100% sure! the links i gave u are .sis files made for S60 3rd edition. i currently have quickoffice installed on my 3250 and it works as clean as a whistle! =)

3) real player/smart movie (if playing offline content, otherwise this is d #1 battery consuming app when used for live streaming via EDGE..)
4) music player/FM radio playing thru loudspeaker in max volume
5) playing games with max volume and vibrate

re 6230i, pls b iformed dat 6230i does not support all variations AMR-WB (dey hav different bitrates, higher 1s r not supported) and does not support WAV music formats. its normal for ur friends unit to say unable to play..

if u want to play AVI files or if ur d type who has lots of AVI files on ur PC then i recommend u to install smartmovie juz to save d hassles of converting so u can watch em on ur 3250 otherwise realplayer myt b enough for ya.. also, there are other features like subtitles (d 1 u see on dvds) are supported. those r some of d reasons y u wud lyk to install smartmovie. re 3.23, ya i have not tried it yet, but a fella in dis forum hav d said problems on d white balance in d camera settings on d other hand, 3.28 is really available (here in the Philippines) nokia SM City north EDSA as confirmed by foxy too! since i haven't or i don't know anybody hu has 3.28 i can't give u a concrete conclusion on wat r d plus and minus points on d said firmware.

u can ask for a replacement of ur 3250, u had a faulty one. or if u had ur 3250 for some quite time now, juz hav ur firmware upgraded to at least 3.21 RM-38 at ur nearest local nokia authorized service center, its free as long as ur unit has warranty

Oscar:
3250 does not support BT stereo (A2DP profile) but BT stereo headsets wil stil work with 3250 only on mono mode.

only microSD cards r compatible w/ 3250 other formats such as miniSD, SD will not work. u can store any length of song not only 3:45 ones, as long as u hav enough free space on ur microSD

r u sure u hav d OEM from Nokia? coz i had 3.18 and 3.21 RM-38 now and both of em does not hav any lagging on msgng and stuff. i suggest u go to nokia care center directly so dey can do d upgrading for ya. if 3.28 is avail. on ur country, i recommend it.

zoom is not variable, but honestly there r no difference in quality whether it is or not only diff on variable, has smooth transition wyl zooming in..

some .swf files work, most of em dont. let's juz w8 for d developers to release their new games/apps based on FlashLite. i juz use d default RealPlayer. yup, themes will b deleted if u use file mgr in pc suite and yes, u should delete themes not compatible or any installer files u really don't use unless u want em to be shared via bluetooth. i don't know any anti-virus for 3250 yet. u can use xilisoft video converter to convert files to mpeg so it can b played by realplayer smoothly. download it here:

video: resolution: 176x144 codec 3gp (H.263 P0 L10) or mpeg4 VSP with FPS of 15 and bitrate of 128-150kbps

audio part: 32kbps stereo or mono; 44.1 khz sampling, codec AAC

i recommend dat u use uLead video toolbox plus nokia edition, its included on d disc where PC suite is stored..

this phone sucks look at the design just like a ciggarate packet and looks like a toy when ssen in real and SEw810 is more better than this crap
viper kid what do u say the sound quality is very good in w810 and in the headphones too just dont take side of u r phone
