DRM-chains do not allow installation of freeware applications!
Do not mistake this for a smartphone. This is a closed-system device with a proprietary operating system. Unlike previous versions, Symbian 9.1 is filled to the brim with so called "copy protection" limitations, which DO NOT ALLOW THE USER TO INSTALL ANY HOMEBREW APPLICATIONS!
That means you can forget game emulators, freeware and shareware programs and the like. As well as older Symbian 8 applications (no backward compatibility).
Unless a program has Symbian's seal of approval, this cellphone will not allow installation.
On my part, I want to be myself the arbiter of what I can, and what I cannot install on my cellphone. For this reason, I'll give this device, as well as the rest Symbian 9.1 "smartphones" a pass.

hi..like this phone because of the music function..Can anybody confirm with me whether this phone support loudness function and is it bass system can choose from lower, middle and higher setting.

well, i got this phone 2 days ago, i have to say, i'm very impressed with the sound quality, the camera is not as good as my previous phone, SE W800i, but still take good pictures, the only disappointment for me is that most of the applications from the previous S60 phones can't be installed in this phone, so that's why alot of people that bought this phone in cambodia didn't like it, but all in all i still think it's a very good phone. ( much better than N90!)

I think It's better to go towards nokia 3250 than W810, but the main problem iz da casing of both the cell fone does not change i mean for how long can you keep a nokia's cell fone in a great shape, what i actually think is the part of it's value will go down only because of it's covers...

the new S60 platform uses a new kind of software, .sisx, it is different from the software that is released before...so if you install .sis file into the form, it won't work at all... u have to install .sisx software...

only some themes n programs from the previous s60 works on dis fone ... n70 vs 3250 , 2 b honest n70 is actually crap if u really want a 3G samrtfone then wait for the other 3 nseries fone like n71 n n80, video quality is same as other nokia model, n the thickness is 19.8mm ,jus abit less than 2cm, but 3250 is actually a fun toy 2 try n throw away

i got the phone today only,
but when i am installing any sis file it is giving me some error and file cannoy install>
why this is happening. please let me know if any one have idea of installing the application in it.??????

I bought this Mobile yesterday....It is too good. I have just switched from Sonyericsson to Nokia..but dont compare it with any other phone. 3250 sound quality is too good, tough & gives a better easy to use software and impressive look. even if the camera quality is not like Sony but still it is 2MP. Display is very nice and near to natural colors. People who call it ugly are unaware to Nokia's latest shape technologies & most probably they haven't even bought 3250. Today, in office 5 of my collegues are going to buy this mobile...why? because they liked it. Sony is good too but the logos of "walkman" give a teen look. Please note that I have used P-910, K750, W800, W810, W900 and believe me that sound quality of all is different.

the new version of symbian os looks cool, but why no backward compatibility????

i actually like the design of the 3250, sound quality also perfect. however, for a 2 mp camera , it is not as clear as the sony ericsson W800. very disappointing.. :(

I have this phone for 2 days, i love it. I dont have any other phone like SE w800 to compare with. But i have to say im really impressed. I do have an iriver mp3player and of course the iriver is better then the phone. One thing that dissapoints me is the few applications that are available for series 60 v3.0. The twisting part is very wel build. the mechanism is strong and it works good. The phone is fast in normal use, but when you try applications you will experience small delay, though it is not irritating. The video is really poor, but the pictures are very good.
But i will say it again, i had a nokia 2600 for this one. So maybe thats why im so impressed of the phone.

I am going to decide my next phones from 3250 or N70. I have three issues (1) how is the build quality of 3250? Is'nt it delicate with half body moving, putting lot of stress on the connecting axis. I doubt you can keep in tight fitting jeans front pockets. (2) Regarding N70 I have heard that it is slow, display is slightly dull, and (3) as a music enthusiast I would love to get first hand info as to which phone among these satisfies a music lover better? Thanks.
