Nokia 3250 "Offline" profile
My new Nokia 3250 justs stays in 'Offline' mode and fails to recognise any SIM (tried Orange & Vodaphone)
When I try to change the profile it just prompts 'Insert SIM'. All other options work like the music player, camera and links up to pc no problem
Anybody got any ideas ??

Viperkid, i've already done just what you say and the phone accepted the program only to fail installation at the end saying something like 'not compartible with phone'. I think we also have problem with the phone because of its latest version of symbian OS which regrettably has not got many third party softwares. The only themes i am able to install are those from nokia site. Will try the site you gave viperkid. Will keep everyone posted.

bcoz most of certificates only lasts for about 1 year (if m not mistakin, in S60 apps/themes). u can change d date on ur 3250 back to january 2006 before installing d themes and juz set d correct date after d installation. hop dat works

welcome! yup, u can use any compatible bluetooth earphone with ur 3250 but d sound quality wil not b dat good and d output is only mono (coz 3250 does not support A2DP bluetooth profile [i.e. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile] responsible for transmitting 2 channels. about removing themes u can't see on app. mgr. do d ff below:

1. Connect your phone to the pc using the data cable
2. Select "Data Transfer" mode (for other phone models, it's the option where the mobile is like a usb)
3. Make sure your pc has SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS on (if you don't know how to, choose Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders)
4. On the computer go to My Computer > Removable Disk (the memory card) > Private (it's a hidden folder) > 10207114 > Import
5. Now you'll have a number of folders with barbarian names, like "dc60815d47351ce2" and others. Each folder corresponds to one theme.
6. Open each folder and you'll see in the contents 4 files: a settings file, a .mbm file, a .mif file and a .skn file. The 4 files have in their title the theme name. For instance, in my dc60815d47351ce2 folder, i have the following
Pink_Seaflower_3250.mbm, Pink_Seaflower_3250.mif and Pink_Seaflower_3250.skn which means that the dc60815d47351ce2 folder is the one of the Pink Seaflower theme (by Babi)
7. When u come across a theme that you want to delete, go back to the Import folder and delete the whole theme folder. Like if I want to delete the pink seaflower theme, I would delete the whole dc60815d47351ce2 folder
8. Safely remove your phone
9. Enjoy your emptied theme gallery :D
I just tried this tip in my 3250 and it works perfectly fine. After disconnecting my phone, I opened Themes on the mobile and all the themes I deleted were gone!
For other phones, the parent folder "10207114" may be different (perhaps). You just have to find the folder that contains an "Import" sub-folder.

have just bought my 3250. I tried to download and install themes from different sitebut what i get is "expired certificate" error message and not supported . What can i do and where can i get themes to downloadplz i ned ur help urgently

I received my phone on the 04th of March 2007. On the 24th of May I received a phone call. An hour later the LCD was broken. Don't know how as it was on the bed, I was in the bath. There was nobody else at home that could have dropped it. So now it is in for repairs. I was told that there is a major backlog on Nokia repairs and that it would take between 4 - 6 weeks. I was also accused of letting the phone fall. So I probably have to pay for the repairs to the LCD as well!!! My brother has the same phone and is also experiencing problems. He has his phone for about 9 months. The quality of the music is excellent though. My advice is: choose something else!

This phone is Unbelievable if u wanna MP3 Buy this mobile i can't describe this phone really it's amazing
but about the camera it's not bad
and if u wana any thing about this mobile like software or any problem just call me

Hello, wel i have been using my 3250 for 8 months now and it's great i rily like it, but the camera has hanged it doesn't work any more when i switch it on it sticks on stand by, wat should i do to unlock it?? Pliz help me thanks.

this phone is one of the best if u r looking out for music. not only it is on par with the s.e walkman phones but also outperforms them in terms of performance due to its symbian platform.i am really in love with thos phone.

i love my 3250 but but... its battery life is too short wen i play games!
does anyone know an application which will enable me to switch off the lights during the day??
am sure after that, battery life will be double!!

i have used many phones.. but this is very nice.. camara is nice... yes if u can replace their earphons from Sony Ericsson then its sound is Great. i have watch movies with stereo sound .. it great.. new frimwork is in nokia site.. u can used cd manual for connection of PC + Internet + SMS + Upgread phone features :)

I also get this "Expired Certificate!" error message when installing themes like someone here in d forum. I did not hav that error msg before tho. Tried to delete certificates on the phone to no avail. Can anyone help pls? Thanks.

Where can one find "Theme" files on the phone while working with it on a PC via USB? I used file manager on PC suite, but can't still find the folder nor d files. I want to delete a previously downloaded theme, but can't seem to do it as phone doesn't give options to delete and i can't find the file even with file manager. Thanks.
