i used this code u said : *#92702689#. all my phone told me is the life timer n nuthin else... n oh ya btw since ive upgraded, ive noticed that my cells back cover feels warmer than usual. its the battery thats gettin hot. i jus fully recharged abt 9 hrs ago n used it very little bt still its nw on only 3 outa 7 points.

    both d old version and new 3250 supports 2GB microSD. my cousin has a 2GB in his 3250 (first edition) and it works 100% with no probs at all. (dat's juz a mrktng move of nokia, to prolong 3250 popularity and perhaps to give em time b4 they release N30?! who knows... Nseries model now with a twist! dat's 1 form factor currently Nseries does not hav.. 3G, autofocus at least 3.2mpx, QVGA vid recording, support for SDHC, wow!). nwey, here's d link dat all 3250 are compatible with 2GB:

    dat's normal, coz 3250 has a 2mpx CMOS sensor (1600x1200) against 6600s 0.3mpx (640x480) resolution CMOS sensor too. and besides even some stand alone digicams hav d said issues about "noise" especially in low lyt cndtns and a high ISO is used (except again, fuji finepix digicams).. yup, u can upgrade ur firmware thru authorized srvce ctrs for free for 1 yr or by usin NSU (forever, as long as new firmwares r released) which cn b dwnloded here:

    current 4.14 firmware only hav a very little improvement on noise reduction (or i guess, nothin at all..) vs first FW 3.18. besides, 3250 is marketed by nokia as a music phone, so i guess dey won't make imaging features of dis device on par with image/video centric device such as N73 etc with future firmware upgrades..

      my 3250 came with a 512mb micro sd.would there be any problem if I use a 2gb card???. this is not the music express edition, its the black one. Thanx

        Im a new user of 3250(just 1 week). Befor i used 6600.

        3250 is a great phone. My firmware is 3.23,bt its so fast nd i got 1gb.

        wt evr,m nt satisfied with the photo quality specially at night or low light,my 6600 vga cam was vv good in compare with 3250 2Mpix cam!
        My 6600 firmware was 5.xx!

        i hv 1yr waranty,so,i can upgrade firmware fre of charg for 1 year,so, u guys plz inf me, does the photo quality nd night mood quality changes with firmware upgrade?

          *#7370# = soft format phone memory
          *#7780# = hard format phone memory (kinda like u used WDCLEAR utility or write zeros on a PC hard disk to fix corrupted MBR [master boot record])..

          btw, u can try to type "*#92702689#" wyl on standby. therein u cn view d S/N n d IMEI as well as d life timer, d date d phone left d factory n d date it was purchased. f ur phone has been repaired d date of d repair is also indicated. u will need to turn d phone off to exit this menu or simply require you to press ok (if available). ciao!

                i guess u hav to try this instead. first, perform a hard format (*#7780#) [b sure u hav backed up all ur contacts, msgs, calendar entries, etc and everything on d phone mem], if d problem persists, format ur microSD once again. hop dat works.. good luck!

                  to save u trouble here the list that Viperkid posted earlier:

                  here r a list of fixed bugs against previous firmwares prior 4.14:

                  -white balance effect in camera fixed (except 3.18)
                  -smoother zoom in video and still modes
                  -no more delayed audio in videos (against 3.18/21. audio when playing videos now syncs correctly
                  -new theme "together" wil b installed
                  -no need for sms accelerator
                  -backup in mem. card wil work (unlike in 3.18) function in organiser > mem card > backup mem...
                  -bigger font in msgs plus background image does not get distorted anymore when reading long msgs

                  plus overall faster performance and reliability! at d end of d day, its ur call whether u want to upd8 it or not. =)

                    yes it does take long to send a text msg. to fix this either download "sms accelerator" from http://europe.nokia.com/A4151103 or directly to ur cell. to download to cell go to "services" then to applications. there ull find sms accelerator. but its better if u upgrade ur firmware (thats the phone software). the new version is 4.14. to check urs, type in standby mode *#0000#
                    the new firmware is much beta. a list of fixd stuff is given a few pages back by Viperkid. check it out.

                        theres no difference b/w those 2. its just that nokia started supplyin 1gb microSD n gave 2gb support in the music edition, n called it the xpressmusik version. n ya they also introduced a new cassing, the white and orange one.

                            did u use ur 3250 or windows based PC to format ur microSD? if u used d latter then, i guess u hav to format it again using 3250. hav u tried to reset ur phone mem by pressing *#7370#? if not, its worth d try...

                              no actually i formatted my card.... n i tried restartin cell 3 times. each time i do everythin seems normal but wen i update the library, same thing happens again. what if i reset my phone? it just restores the orignal settings so i dont think it'll help....

                                yup, u can upgrade a N80 to b a N80IE usin d NSU. nokia juz recently allowed normal N80s to be N80ie juz by upgrading d firmware!

                                but take note dat not every N80 variant are now able to upgrade to b IE. u can check ur variant on d back of d phone, after removin d battery and type it here to check if u can update to IE.

                                if u live here in d Philippines, d previously released 3250 comes with 512mb and d new one comes with 1GB (at nokia stores and authorized distributors). but in d end it really depends on ur area..

                                try to switch it off and on again. oh yeah, hav u changed ur directory where u saved ur music files (mp3s, eAACs, etc.) in d microSD? if yes, then, place it back where u remember where it was like "microSD/sound clips/digital sounds"

                                  my 3250 is provided with 1GB . Bought just about 1 week ago.
                                  It depends on ur locality!

                                  before buying 3250 i knew at my locality 512 mb is given,bt,at shop the shopkeeper said tht my local nokia changed its decision nd provid 1Gb.


                                  as its the 3rd edition s60 phone,its realy grt. M v hapy with it. My just previous set was 6600.

                                  1 bad secotor of n3250 is_
                                  its cam at low light or at night.
                                  At low light its cam quality is realy worse than my previous 6600.
                                  My 6600 firmware was 5.18. Nd 3250 firmware is 3.23. Hop by updating the firmware at 5.xx(recent is 4.14) the cam problem wil b solved!

                                  ques to 4.14 firmware users!
                                  Is the photo quality developD than the former firmware editions!

                                      yes the 3250 xpressmusik cums wit 1gb microSD card and the 3250 cums wit 128mb.
                                      however it maybe market dependant.
                                      the internal memory is 10mb.
