its very difficult to use for easy messaging due to keypad...nokia should think for it overall its nice but not useable for sms purpose

For keypad, use your thumb-finger vertically pointed. Back cover opening is very difficult.

It is very difficult to open the earphone/battery charger socket lid, once it is closed.

that's why it is useless for conversation, and it is not supported for sms and not preferable to use as cell phone..
you keep your coolest phone, and preserve all vegetables and fruits in it..hahahahahaha lol...

i was the user of this 5030xr, i was disgusted with its keypad! really horrible. so, i have switched to LG b 106.. what a phone this is, ohh my god really this is awesome in its range..
cool look..
very small and lite weight..
the keypad(bump keys)is 100 times better than this 5030xr, user friendly..
this LG b 106 comes with a branded leather pouch..
LG b 106 phone had wireless stereo fm same as in 5030mx and more louder than 5030xr..
the price is also affordable only 1,715/- less than 5030xr as on date 26.11.09 at big bazaar, hyd..
i strongly suggest this LG b 106 instead of taking worst keypad phones..
read reviews and check the desired phone from people before you buying..:-)

Hi, Friends
I use this hand set and I found that:
1. Keypad very bad.
2. Ring tones are not loud.
3. No MP3 ring tones.
3. Cheep software like Nokia 1650.

DRAWBACKS, FLAWS & TECHNICAL FAULTS of Nokia 5030

* Very bad & dreadful Keypad's buttons setting that interrupts to type a fluent text message.
* The sound of the Ringtones are not so loud, particularly the composed tones are very low.
* Absence of SMS storage meter, so the users can't detect & watch the numbers of stored messages inside the Inbox, Sent & Drafts items folder, either in Phone memory or a SIM memory.
* Assigned numerical values for the Contents of Menu & sub menus are missing. For example if any end user does press 1 or 2 or 3 & 8 or 9 after pressing the menu key, could not browse the desire location directly.
* The back light timing is required in form of Time duration (I.e. mm:ss) neither in the pattern of (Normal, Extended, Off) time periods.
* User can fix the Time tracker only above than 30 seconds not less than 29 seconds.
* The lack of Exchangeable cover casing of Nokia-5030 is really a huge missing.

i just want to know what is that clock sign blinking next to battery sign and how can i remove that please help me.
