it is not a good phone i am going on my thired 5300 sad to say. the speaker phone blow out on the last two.nokia give me my money back step your game up and give the people what they are paying for.

The Nokia 5300 is terrible, so is the Rogers service. Today I am taking back the 3rd phone in 13 days, my daughter is on the 2nd phone in 8 days. Speaker for in out calls stops working and the screen messes up. Don't buy.

it's complete phone!!!
but it is not operating system. and camera only 1.3 mp. if the camera 5 mp, it wll be perfect!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, accalamualikum. I hope u all r well. Nokia 5300 is a great phone but not greater or greatest. I was using it after 14 days. It's sound is really good. It's camera is butter than n70. It's function is very easy like nokia 1110. But it has some problem. It's buttery is not good. It susk by using 2-3 hours. It's a big problem. And it has other problem. It couldn't support any type of software or application. If anybody want's to buy xpress music phone. I'll advice u that u could buy nokia 3250. And i think 6630 is a greatest phone than nokia's other phone. I was wanted to buy it. But i suddenly bought nokia 5300....

its cool i have this fon nearly one month and i love it,the sound is perferct and camera is very good every thing is good but not the battery if u use it alot it wont stay more than 1 day but if u use it normally it will stay for 3days maximum but it is perfect mobile 4 music lovers!

i've had this fone for mayb 2 months, it's not all that good
prob best thing is the speaker for playin muisc
but other than that
battery is terrible
sumtimes wen i adjust the volume, it turns off
the book doesn't even say how to convert tracks to use as ringtunes (which i found out bymyself)
u can't hear properly wen talking with headset
THE CAMERA IS NASTY. my samsung d807 1.3 mgpxl came was MUCH MUCH better. u can't even adjust the lighting on this cam. it gets really grainy like a web cam.
the video is even worse, very choppy
so yeh, unless u got a unlocked version, don't bother with rogers and get this fone.

the best phone ever invented!! music player is great, like ipod style. but, rubber lining turns black(before it was red) after using lots of times. battery life sucks a bit but its still okay!

Just in case you're in Canada, don't by this phone with Rogers. As far as I can tell the mp3 player is locked to only work with the Rogers Music Store

This phone is great except from the fact that its battery is not long lasting and it is delicate.. About the ring tones, having phone calls, etc.. I can see NO PROBLEM with it.. well I guess(no offense), be intelligent and careful enough to meet your satisfaction. Be more informed and knowledgeable enough before complaining!!

hi y'all 5300 owners out there! well all i can say is that.... ammm.... THIS PHONE REALLY ROCKS!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! no slowing down and hang-up! swear!! for the spreaker output? well you have to hear it so you may judge it ur self.
for those who's not convinced with its speaker power, well maybe ur playing a music file that's too low bit rate or too compressed. just try a higher format of music so you can prevent the speaker sounding unclear and unpleasant.
i love this phone! good job nokia!

can anyone tell me about this?
-how many sms can this phone store? is it possible to store it in the memory card?
-the opinions here say that the battery empties quick. just about how long can it hold for normal usage? (standard use of talking and stand by) some said that you have to charge it everyday, but perhaps it's because they use the music player all day long?
-some said the volume's too low, is it so low it's really annoying and disturbing?
-comparing to 6233, which is better? and why?
-anymore downside / upside I should know?
