Rafs,u seem a helping hand here. I went 2 nokia care. They told that CHARGING IC needs 2 b replaced. But after keeping me waiting 4 2 hrs,they told that its d problem of POWER IC & hence its "BEYOND REPAIR". I nvr heard a nokia set is beyond repair! Anyways I'm going 2 go 2 another nokia care,check there. I'm using this ph 4 2 yrs & its a sweetheart set. I'm not at all happy with the LIQUID LOCK excuse which they gave. I nvr expected this 4m nokia. But still nokia is d best. I just wish this bad experience not 2 happen anymore & my ph 2 b repaired.
Plz comment & tell me if there is any other way out & what do u think in this matter.

and i forgot:
-if you have 2gb card and very much mp3s (400-1.8gb) it takes 10 minutes to open music player :))(and this with last firmware , 7.2)

I had this phone for 3 years.The slide works perfectly.The sound quality is 7/10 ,pretty loud but don't buy this phone:)).The case quality is poor and the battery is very poor(1-2 days)

This is a good handset.But it have some problems.
1.remove body very carefully otherwise mic will removed from the board.
2.sliding is damaging very quickly.
3.it's sound is good but when volume is full it doesn't have sound clarity.
4.good handset but internal memory is poor only 5MB.
*But one thing everytime this is a lucky phone to me.i'm still using this.

This phone is nice but has much problems like its memory is poor, music player gets hanged when ur MP3 goes upto 400, battery life is miserably poor. I am using it for d last 2 years and d good qualities are: it supports almost all applications, very nice to look at(slide), supports MP3,AAC,WMA,MP4, 3GP and all music formats etc. It can perform very fast and support 2gb(i m using in my phone from last year). It is more user friendly than any other nokia set in its price.

I updated the software version from 5.0 to 7.20 from Nokia Care 2 days before. But today whenever I put it in charging,it shows "CHARGER NOT SUPPORTED". I have tried restore/switch on-off/re-insert but it doesn't work. Is there any way out without going to Nokia Care again? PLEASE HELP!

Well it's a goood phone and all but it not durable. i had trouble with the slide and my display was damaged due to overcharging else no problem

Great phone but NOT VERY DURABLE. i've replaced mine 3 times! texting is convenient but the T9 for some reason would never remember or save any words for me! my 3rd one broke again last night and i am not replacing it again! ;)

#1 How can i upgrade my phn?
#2 when i connect my phn via usb, nokia pc suite detects it, bt i can't access into my phone, i mean i can't read the msg or creat a back up of my contacts................
#3 sometimes when i slides down my 5300,the skin get glossy and after a while it becomes white!!
i've changed this phn with SE W302 because of the low msg memory and havin no pc suite, bt alas!! i'm facing the same problems again....
can any one help me out plz??

Got myself this 4ne and I real like it. High resolution display - thats what I have liked most and thats what first caught my attention.Then came the sound quality which I observed after trying out different head4ne types. I didnt fall for the white colour so I immediately went 'housing-hunting' for a black cover. And man!!!....MY 4NE turned real cute and business-like. It now looks cooooooool!!!!! (Try it out guys. Only, just leave the buttons/keymat in their original grey. I bet you'll love the LOOOOK!!!
Just go to the salesperson ask him/her to let you feel it and scroll thru it before you can digest the lousy comments from every Tom, Dick and Harry. THIS FONE IS REAL GOOD.
